so i got a idea for this forum, every week or 2 weeks there will be a chalenged displayed in this thread. challengs like: *survive 1960 south korea as long as possible *win 1950 as quick as possible *survive against the aliens as long as possible everyone that are willing to join can make a screenshot of it and post it in this thread. the one who have done the challenge the best wins a special badge! is this a good idea? or maybe another sort of competition?

I like the idea Netherfreek but only if it's done occasionally not on regular basis, reasons for this:
1/The forums should be a place to relax and have fun not be a highly competitive arena.
2/It is too easy to cheat, especially on rooted phones.

Competitions are good unless you get one or two (max) a month, a weekly conquest thing would eventually become boring.

So what if every participant needed to show their HQ ? With rooted phones, you could instantly see he's cheating.

There are many different kind of cheats, some you cannot see in HQ. For example damage modifications like make some units hit for a lot more example make land mines hit for 500,or change status of a country, for example make some countries neutral instead of enemies ect..
Another factor is money, these badges are occational because they cost actual RL money. All badges have to be purchased, some of them cost several times the price of the game.
For these reasons badges are rare and special and cannot be awarded on a rotation.

I would also prefer a competition with not badge because getting rewards is actually add more stress than fun. Some casual challenge is nice tho.

We , "Active" members , actually all members dont cheat, we have KNOWLEDGE ( nice meme dough ) and that is more useful than Cheats.I myself Hate cheats because they can be filled with viruses. Also Cheats ruin the fun and make the game pointless

So are we going to do this thing of not? I doubt it. It'll go from healthy competition to saltiness in the blink of an eye. Just like the Theo Wars

I think the forum should concentrate on helping newbies, not on competions with no reward but an ego boost and a possibly huge loss. Most attemps likd this end up in salt, like the EFC Nominations.
I don't want the older forum goers to concentrate on Serbia 1815 when newbies in the forum don't know how to get Sophia.....

Personally, I don't think the idea of a challenge is bad. On a forum for a PC game I have, there are some challenges that people compete in and it's all good fun. The experienced people don't forget the newbies. On the contrary everyone in the challenges cheers on others' progress. The basic form of the challenges there is that you try completing the game under certain conditions and I could see something like that happening here. For example, here's something I could see fostering healthy competition.
Saxony 1775: Complete it as quickly as possible.
6 Generals Kyle: 43 turns Joe: 68 turns
5 Generals Elizabeth: 78 turns
4, 3, 2, 1, ...
No Generals Jorge: 103 turns.
In progress Max: 2 Generals, Turn 30 ...
If the reward is a constant strive to do better than before and not some tangible prize, it should be able to foster good-natured tries.

For some reason, our members are prone to getting extremely salty. Therefore, this won't work
