French, Coalition, HRE, Ottoman/Russian, US, Britian I'm 90% sure. For a new player, I would recommend playing Coalition first because it is easier than the Imperial Eagle. I always thought Imperial Eagle was easier. In Coalition, from around stage 5 or 6 you start facing max rank generals. What is your reasoning?

Mmmm... it's strange, but I just like Imperial Eagle better. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that your allies, 99% of the time, are hilariously stupid.

Well then, it's just up to preference, I guess.

I think the best way is:
1 slot for Artillery 1 slot for Horse 1 slot for Infantery 1 slot for trainers (so you can upgrade the previous 3 ones)
start out with medium (3*) generals for the first 3 slots in the categories: artillery, horse and infantery. try to buy trainers so you can upgrade the 3 generals. so your generals will get stronger and stronger while your progressing the game. don't go for a Naval general because you don't need them much in the beginning. but later on in the "sun never set" mission you must have a naval general. so try to put trainers on one specific general for naval. there are a lot of naval trainers so they shouldn't be hard to find. in this case you have a Naval general untill the time you reach "sun never sets".
