So I am having trouble deciding this. Should I upgrade Ghenghis Khan, Saladin, Nobunaga, Li Shimin to gunpowder age or work on General skills? Both seem to be good. But these General upgrades are freaking expensive

All I know is that you should take your time with upgrading Nobunaga, since he has a really OP ability in Discovery Age

I go with upgrade generals. Upgrading gives a sizable stat increase and like you said some of the general skills can be very expensive.
Upgrading now rather than later on also means you won't have to grind your generals for exp later on.

I think saladin is hole here. Coz think u dont need 2 cav.
My team for gun era is barb blucher li bismarck and archers..
