Im currently in Discovery Age and I have Nobunaga, Caesar, Saladin, Alexander, Catherine, Barbarossa, Cleopatra all at 4 stars, and I also have Bismarck at 5 stars, but this level seems impossible. I can beat Nelson and the top left base, but I lose so much HP carving my way through the archer army on my way to the top right, that I die at the infantry army on my way to the bottom right base. I have no clue how I would deal with the cavalry army either.

With the generals specified You'll need most of them upgraded to 5* in order to pass it. It's really hard one.

Does anyone have a strategy though? I'm in the same boat as OP, but as the last discovery level for me I need to beat it someday.
Does not seem to have a great reward, since Chinese campaIgn gives paladin boots but is doable. Least its an item.

I just unlocked gunpowder campaign and am 400 literature from Industrial. Campaign progress is not always equal to your overall age. I wonder if that Chinese guy who beat EW4 without generals could beat this level with the same gens as OP.

No, You can proceed with the Empire mode without proceeding in the Campaign mode. And as soon as Your rank upgrade depends on Empire mode, You can postpone Your campaign progress as long as You wish. P.S.: As I remeber there was no any specific strategy in this mission, just need to have solid firepower. First turn I was sending Artillery to the shore so it can shoot the wall, that helps to the allies to make the passage wider from the very beginning. After that was focused on occupying the factories. When approaching second fort was focusing on the fort itself, as after it is destroyed all enemies nearby will become allies as well as the walls on the way to the castle and last fort.

Do you know how to beat this level with level 4 generals, then? I remember you saying you beat all of these before gunpowder was it?

I remember you saying you beat all of these before gunpowder was it? No. I have three stars but I remember nothing about it. Also my generals are advanced for my current progress. Attila has 2200 health and 620 attack for example, raised to 800 with his ability.

This level took me also very long time... way after I proceeded and had 5star generals I succeeded
My tac: land all generals at the north and go up as quickly leaving base in east first unattached since the walls over here are way too strong kill the artillery general at the house in the west and occupy the factory above that house with strong artillery general which can easily finish the base from there. get strong enough generals back to finish also nelson there.
in the mean time (or when your generals are not that strong and you are not going for a 3 star victory) you go with some generals east. You encounter archeries which you have to fight as little as possible since they will join you after you finish the base in the north east, I passed close by the wall and occupy the archery under that base and get the base finished asap. after this the archers and the wall/towers will be urs. then the final blow towards the base and general in the south. I would advice full team attack since the units in that base are not that weak.
good luck@

I passed it with one star. basically what single malt said. this is what i did. kill all artillery in the west. full team attack at north base. then make a path in the east to get around archers. dont attack them as they join you. kill that base in north east fast. head south as walls are now yours. i found generals in the south base arent that strong at all. base is strong though. did it with 5 star saladin, 4 star alexander, 4 star barbarossa, 4 star nobunaga, 4 star jebe, 5 star khalid, 4 star joan of arc, 4 star robin hood

Thanks!

The base in the south has an archer General with 4000 health and does 900 damage, what should I do?

The base in the south has an archer General with 4000 health and does 900 damage, what should I do? This is the one where you have to circle around a key British base, right? Avoid them and ignore them. You'll face another "super" general (gen with extremely high stats) when you are breaching the British base from the NE and East. Avoid the enemy and gun for the target city and gen.

Your have to enter a Artillery ambush and fight your way by facing Nelson. After destorying Their combined amry in the mountains you flank the Indian fort and destory it while facing Over powered Indian Generals.
