Back to Saladin... I think that a sole cavalry general in archer's team is basicaly for mopping up operations. Saladin (+50 attack bonus against infantry at level 5 and -50 percent damage from archers at level 6) is good for that kind of job. Of course, Blucher has Armor master. But it is expensive and in my opinion difficult to trigger, for at level 6 Blucher has no attack or defense bonuses. And his attack will remain 650 (without weapon)- not very impressive in latter stages for a cavalry general. Blucher is very efficient imo in team with Attila (one gives attack another has defense). And Saladin has also Attack expert skill. It gives him 745 basic attack points (only 10 points less than Khan has) Blucher's main point is not dealing damage, but to mop up the heavily damaged enemy units after archers attacked for triggering his armor master, and if lucky, confuse enemy generals.

Let us imagine that you have Saladin lvl5 and archer's team at your disposal. How high will be a probability that you personally replace Saladin for Blucher? It will cost 8745 medals only to buy Blucher and to upgrade his two skills (without Marshall skill) to be effective enough. And 1200 medals for lvl5 and 1600 for lvl6. And all that is without certainty that Saladin is not good enough for being a sole cavalry general in archer's team!

Let us imagine that you have Saladin lvl5 and archer's team at your disposal. How high will be a probability that you personally replace Saladin for Blucher? It will cost more than 7000 medals only buying Blucher and upgrade his skills to be effective enough. And 1200 medals for lvl5 and 1600 for lvl6. And all that is without certainty that Saladin is not good enough for being a sole cavalry general in archer's team! Did I say Saladin is crap or something like that? A great Saladin costs 6k, while Blucher costs 10k. Saladin vs Blucher is sole attack vs team defense, skill wise I support Blucher, but I did not say Saladin is worthless to keep, he is still great(if I did, I'll take it back). If you don't mind spending a whole month for a superb Blucher, he will be a good shield of your team.

Exactly that was the point of this thread - to replace or not to replace :0) And in particular situation presented by author...

No absolute correct answer for this. Depends on him to consider whether spending a month for Blucher worth it.
