I'm about 220 literatures away from gunpowder age, I have 740 medals and have Ghengas, Saladin, li shimin, Attila, nobuganda, and Alexander upgraded to 4 stars. Should I save another general like blucher or upgrade some of my generals first?

Both ways are reasonable for your team, but 750 medals are definitely not enough for big plans for the future. Upgrading gold general costs 1500 medals (purple - 1200). Blucher is also quite expensive (3250 only to hire). As you can see your funds should be incresed significantly...

All in all your team has great attacking potential, so to increase defense buying Blucher seems to be wise choice.

I have a 1000 now( slowly increasing). Is blucher in a city or do I have to purchase him with medals. And I need 100 more lit. So I'll probably get blucher and enjoy the grind for 5th age conquest to get the keel sword.

If you have Attila and Genghis you do not need blucher as he is very expensive, save your medals for general upgrades as they will get a great boost in power and level them up for more power

forhonor,if you get Blucher then your line up will be 4-cavalry. So unless you are certain about walking cavalry-emphasized path, I do not recommend Blucher. Good things about getting Blucher on your team - Good synergy with other cavalry generals. Blucher gets atk buff from Attila while he is providing def buff. - He has good a skill set, and Plunder at lv6. Bad things - You will be lacking range attack - AI control is kinda stupid. It does better for range generals. - Very expensive considering the costs for hiring, promoting, and upgrading his skills.

I should admit that big step was already done in direction of cavalry-centric :0) team. The only one alternative path for Forhonor - is to buy Nelson or Li (or them together). But it means that problems with defense of his brilliant cavalry generals will remain forever for they are frontline units exposed to counterattacks. Maybe one more good alternative is Yi Sun-sin...

I've thought about getting Nelson who is much cheaper, but I do need a defensive calvarlymen. Ahh the tough choices. Thanks for the advice.

For defensive my General with most defense is Washington. And for me Anytime a ENEMY charges him it's suicide. But ya if you really want a good defensive General Blucher is ok, but also invest in archer generals as they can do some great damage
