New mappe (de jure). Will make invasion official when I have time. Sweden-Norway is 1 colour (that of Sweden) in map because Sweden was always the leader of the union (esp. in foreign policy). Can the open countries be a color other than gray?

Can the open countries be a color other than gray? That means a lot of colours and a lot of NPCs. I didn't do it on this map because: 1. Players get confused. 2. You can't tell NPC from PC. But I'll do it anyway. It'll take a lot of time though.

This is why EW4, EUIV, and alternatehistory, com use some shade of grey.

Yeah, I think Gray is better than green and less confusing.
I'll do my turn eventually. Do remember that I had requested an extension where the game wouldn't even have been started yet because I can't do my turns for a few days.

Austria-Hungary 1900 (sorry for the wait)
Military
The army currently has 490,000 reasonably well trained infantry, 200 mortars, 200 howitzers, 400 field guns and 20,000 lancers.
A regiment consists of 2500 men and division consists of 4 regiments. A battery consists of 20 artillery pieces. A squadron consists of 2000 cavalry men.
The army is modernised to make sure it doesn't suffer humiliating defeats like it did in the past years. Proper uniforms are issued so the army doesn't have to wear cardboard shoes during winter and the number of artillery pieces is increased. Troops are to be commanded by officers that can actually speak their language and military schools are to teach relatively modern tactics. e.g. do not charge at a machine gun with cavalry, do not launch a frontal assault on trenches with bayonets etc.
The navy consists of 4 armoured cruisers, 10 light cruisers, 25 destroyers and 4 coastal defence ships. 4 armoured cruisers, 2 light cruisers and 5 destroyers are to be finished before 1902.
Austro Hungarian order of battle. 1 division in China. 5 divisions, 4 squadrons and 10 batteries on the Russian border. 5 divisions, 2 squadrons and 5 batteries on the German border. 2 divisions on Ottoman border. 8 divisions, 2 squadrons and 10 batteries on Serbian border. 4 divisions, 2 squadrons and 5 batteries on Romanian border. 6 divisions, 5 batteries in Bosnia. The rest are placed in reserve or just generally roam around the country to scare potential rebels.
General stuff
The population reaches 51 million
Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, Ruthenian, Slovakian, Romanian and Polish are made official languages throughout the empire in addition to German, Czech and Hungarian, delighting the public.
Public schools are established as a method of propaganda, to teach the younger generation on the importance of the unity of the empire and loyalty to the emperor. Also as a bonus, the average intelligence of civilians is also estimated to increase.
Medical research also starts for military purposes.
Railroads and telegraph poles are starting to be put up across the country to fill up the gaps between existing ones. This is funded by the government.
Nationalism is banned. (Can you even ban nationalism?)
Economy
The Austro Hungarian Empire's GDP has been growing faster than any other European country recently. The locomotive and electric power industry begins to be subsidised by the government.
Our main trade partners are Germany and England but we would also like to trade with countries nearer. Poke Russia. Poke Rumania.
Austria and Bohemia is the most industrialised parts of the nation while other parts of the country focus on agriculture. However, the Hungarian government is working to bring factories into their part of the country and Budapest is already quite industrialised. Foreign stuff
A second treaty is signed with Korea and an embassy is officially established. We start training 1000 Korean troops.
8000 troops were originally going to be sent to Korea but fortunately, Japan made peace before war broke out.
We start to increase our influence over the Korean government.
We sent 1900 men to China and 1700 made it. They were given a hero's welcome back at home.
A division is sent to China to "protect our people".
Hungary is currently considering Romania's proposition and it will be put to vote on the diet next year.
All relations are cut off with Serbia and nobody is allowed to go in there.

Japan's military has 12 divisions, the Imperial Guard Division, and numerous other units.
These contained the following: 380,000 active duty and 1st Reserve personnel: former Class A and B(1) conscripts after two-year active tour with 17 and 1/2 year commitment 50,000 Second line Reserve: Same as above but former Class B(2) conscripts
220,000 National Army 1st National Army: 37- to 40-year-old men from end of 1st Reserve to 40 years old. 2nd National Army: untrained 20-year-olds and over-40-year-old trained reserves.
Population, Aproximately 44 million people.
Foreign relations, Originally planned to invade the Korean Empire, even sending threats and starting a minor clash with 2 warships and sending 5000 troops. But due to Austria's request for us to stop the invasion and to prevent war with Austria, Japan cedes the invasion and made peace with Austria. Japan claims Taiwan and Pengu (later renamed Pingu to make it sound more unique). France does not agree with Japan methods of force in handling the state affairs of Taiwan. Therefore, to avoid war, Japan pass governance of Taiwan to France.
Education, Public schools exists as a method of propaganda, to teach the younger generation on the importance of the empire, the bushido code and loyalty to the emperor. We have hired foreign teachers to teach in such schools as well.
Ideologies, Japan supports Japanese Nationalism movements and Imperialism support movements. Other ideologies movements are not permitted unless the Emperor looks into them and agrees to allow them.

Ik this has been already discussed, but I still dont think it's fair for France to bully Japan into giving Taiwan to them, not because bullying is unfair (I mean, come on, this is the early 1900's we're talking about), but more because in 1900 Japan would be more than a worthy fight against France, meaning that France shouldn't be able to just demand Japan give them Taiwan.
Sorry for bringing this up again, Im just kinda baffled by this.
