What Mountbatten said, located Here. Basically it's a "I liked it because it was funny" comment tag.

It isn't. 17-2 impact damage is painful if you are a mage or a jundi. Especially when said troll is on a mountain village and regenning. Your sarcasm-o-meter needs recalibration in the sensors. Ehh, I just wanted to point out the common mistake of attacking trolls, whether in Wesnoth or Proboards. It usually makes things worse.

To the member who voted for waffle chicken and isn't Santa: We know you don't genuinely like it, you said so yourself. Why are you defending that abomination?

Ain't voting for C/W just cause I didn't pick it....well, guess so...is hard to say. I will have to think on my decision.

Chicken and waffles has a Wikipedia page. What has the world come to. And reading the wikipedia page you find out it has been in existence since at least around 1860. A book mentioned it in 1917, an advertisement mentioned it in 1909, no less than three books/movies involve a restaurant built around chicken and waffles. For such a hated and supposedly minor food, it has a long, major history.

However, according to wikipedia it was possible the Pennsylvania Dutch did it first, in the 1860s. Not exactly Southern. It then says it became popular in African-American communities in the north, reaching places like Los Angeles. It disagrees with it originating in the south, or at least before 1890 there. Nonetheless despite confused origins it does seem to be tied with the south.
