I nearly bought Attila myself, just for the sake of having something new to play with while grinding out the lit. & waiting to upgrade to Gunpowder but sanity prevailed in the end as I need the medals to be ready to upgrade my existing team - only 60 scrolls to go! It will give you 320 and 400 medals per 24 hours respectively. That is good enough for a long-term strategy...

Just to save you the disappointment when you get there, it's 125 cities for 8 missions as I just passed it recently. I have been wondering if there's a stage in between 125 & 155 where you get 9, or does it just jump from 8 to 10?

As far as I remember it is an instant jump. 320 medals before and 400 medals after 155 cities.

No worries, hopefully I'll be able to confirm myself within the next week or two. Currently at 132 cities but I expect to get quite a few more added when I make the leap to Gunpowder - only 45 lit. to go!

Pro-tip: when you're closing in on the 600 scrolls needed for Gunpowder age don't do what I did and overlook the 180k coins also required

I can confirm you are correct, you get the two extra missions when you get 155 ciities.

I can confirm you are correct, you get the two extra missions when you get 155 ciities. We are lucky enough with dailly Invasions as well. Now (in the last updates) they are playable at least. In our good old times it was close to impossible to defeat any of them untill you have a really capable team. Btw, who are your star players ?

In the order they're ranked on mine (inc. equipment): Alex 5*, Saladin 5*, Nobby 5*, Li Shimin 5*, Bismarck 5*, Nelson 4*, Mocte 4*, Barbarossa 3*(!), Cathy 4* & Jhansi 4*. Still got a little bit of recruiting to do but the main team is taking shape.

Having given it a bit more thought I'd have to say Saladin with max logistics & Nobby with max leadership & spy are my superstars when playing campaigns & the like. It's frustrating watching the AI misuse Saladin, but when used correctly I think he's great. I'm a bit disappointed with Nobby at 5* but he can still hurt pretty much any opponent and I understand he regains his double hit capability (debuff?) at 6*.

[brp] Having given it a bit more thought I'd have to say Saladin with max logistics & Nobby with max leadership & spy are my superstars when playing campaigns & the like. I'm a bit disappointed with Nobby at 5* but he can still hurt pretty much any opponent and I understand he regains his double hit capability (debuff?) at 6*. Right. Therefore I had a "Nobunaga's rule" . He is the last general to advance to lvl 5, but the first one to advance to lvl 6. Unfortunately you can apply only the second part of "Nobunaga's rule" now . Be sure he will be your star player to the end of the game. And don't be deceived by Saladin's strength. No one general can win battles alone. Your star players have to be supported by Commanders. You have already Nelson and Jhansi to support Nobunaga. Most probably you will hire Li as well... But you have no-one to support Saladin. It will be very difficult for him to make any use of Logistics in later campaigns.

Industrial conquest Catherine is already more than enough for in-game me it seems 3/4 of an Odin set VS 2 blue & 2 purple, yet I still lost to her

Industrial conquest Catherine is already more than enough for in-game me it seems 3/4 of an Odin set VS 2 blue & 2 purple, yet I still lost to her I always used two generals for difficult targets in conquests. Even Nobunaga is no match for best generals in some campaigns and battles. And most of the time you can eliminate those targets only using team efforts...
