Right. Therefore I had a "Nobunaga's rule"  . He is the last general to advance to lvl 5, but the first one to advance to lvl 6. Unfortunately you can apply only the second part of "Nobunaga's rule" now . Be sure he will be your star player to the end of the game. And don't be deceived by Saladin's strength. No one general can win battles alone. Your star players have to be supported by Commanders. You have already Nelson and Jhansi to support Nobunaga. Most probably you will hire Li as well... But you have no-one to support Saladin. It will be very difficult for him to make any use of Logistics in later campaigns. Now you tell me  Ideally I will get another decent cav general at some point, but for now Saladin's still useful on his own and there are other priorities. As ever though, priorities are subject to change as circumstances dictate! |

I had exactly the same dilemma previous time. What to do with cavalry? I had only Saladin and there were problems I described above. I solved those problems by dismissing cavalry altogether. Therefore another attempt with cavalry lineup is quite new to me |

You will receive 1000 medals back for the first full legendary set, if you remember Yeah, you get 1000 medals for each full set but as it's going to cost c12000 each for the others I expect paladin will be the only one I get too. Although, depending on how long it takes me to finish you never know! |

Although, depending on how long it takes me to finish you never know! Exactly. As I said it is a long game. We can get 2 Keel items as rewards as well (sword in conquest and boots in Osaka). Good start for another legendary set |

I reinstalled EW5 today. I've chosen official CN version... Ok, the last update was only in Chinese, but there is nothing in EW5 that I could not recognize with my eyes closed, and I'm curious to solve the mystery of those books, btw  . I plan to do it this time with cavalry team and without best (non IAP) archer Nobunaga and best (non IAP) Art general Li Shimin. How are you getting on? Grinding the lit. for Gunpowder? |

You can beat it eithout spending money.. i spend money on napolion but he can easily replaced by bismark. Moreover I beat the game without maxing all my generals in all skillz and dont have all specifc sets |

It is not a principle or something like that... I simply find that kind of play more challenging and I enjoy a good challenge. 2. Yep, I beat it. I wrote about most of my achievements in this thread. And this is time of our (with Singlemalt) glory - Volgograd european-war-4.boards.net/thread/6183/finaly-beat-volgograd. andrei completed the game even earlier. I said it before, but I think it is worth repeating: I played many of ET games (now I'm playing WC4 as well), and EW5 is the most challenging game of them. |

So now I have a real field hospital That's definitely something that's lacking from my team, Young-Hee is my only real chance for recovering HP (aside from Saladin & Li Shimin's Logistics). |

Did you happen to take note of the earlier milestones? It's something I wish I'd known in the beginning and would be useful to newcomers - or anyone crazy enough to try and complete the game more than once |
