Build the taverns at Medina and Vienna when you unlock them. You'll be able to get Saladin and Barbarossa with treasures, and both are powerful. You should also get Nobunaga at Lyon with medals.

After doing what was previously said, perhaps save for Attila or someone as powerful, who can help support your team. Upgrade your generals and they're skills

I recommend either doing what was previously stated or, dont spend medal and grind like a blacksmith till you have 'Tilla
