I've seen the general analysis but still wonder what everyone thinks. What are the best 12 generals/princesses you could have? The best of the best. And with what items? I currently have 12 generals (no princesses and yes I have spent quite the money on this. Don't judge me pls). I have Archduke C (combat uniform, ferguson rifle), Soult (combat uniform and Brown Bess), Kutuzov (bearskin cap, Brown Bess), Napoleon (Pressed power, powder mixture), Treville (Bow chaser, figurehead), Cotton, Blucher (Quality saddle, Boucher saber), Nelson ( Ram stem x2), Moreau (Pressed Powder, helmet), Suvurov (Baker rifle, armored carrier), Murat (trooper saved) and Davout. I have no idea if these are good or bad. But tell me what your selection of 12 would be.

Many of your gens are... not exactly the best, sorry. Soult is a tad overpriced, Napoleon has too spread-out skills to be a tier 3, Cotton has a slightly inferior but no IAP version in the form of Sulkowski, and Blucher has worse skills than a good tier 2. The others are pretty great IMO, although Treville is usually too navy focused and Davout's versatility is dampened in a 12-slot lineup. As for my list: Inf: Victoria Suvorov Lannes Art: Sophia Isabella Moreau Cav: Lan Murat Lasalle Nav: Kate Nelson Treville/Victoria All-rounder winner: Davout

Without princesses, mine would be Davout, Radetzky, Ponaitowski, Suvorov, Murat, Moreau, Dombrowski, Lasalle, Lannes, Berthier (if regrouped), and two more of your choice.

If I had a lot of money to spend on this game: Dombrowski, Berthier, Lan, Suvorov, Victoria, Sophia, Isabela, Moreau, Kate, Nelson, Radetzky and Murat.

Buy only the strongest attack, defence and movement items and swap them between your generals as required, rather than buying each general their own equipment; it makes gameplay a little slower and more convoluted, but you get more for your money that way. The extra can go into trainers (especially movement trainers to increase your generals' mobility in the field).
Remember too that some generals' skills change the nature of the items they need - e.g. an infantry general with the mass fire skill does not ever need Snare Drum and can take TWO attack items (e.g. two Ferguson rifles if you're willing to pay that much to buy them); a general with the Geography skill does not need War Horse and can take TWO movement items.
If I were paying for this game and had bucketloads of medals to throw at everything, I'd be tempted to buy infantry trainers for any general with mass fire, cav or artillery trainers for any general with Geography (since infantry have this skill inbuilt anyway), mobility trainers for all of them, and pour everything into the strongest attack and movement items, plus snare drum for cavalry, artillery and navy. Move fast, hit hard.

Also, I don't feel like farming to upgrade his cavalry stars if I bought him. That doesn't affect his power. Expensive generals are still powerful and thus can be the best.
