So I started playing WC3 and have a 9 questions: 1 How do you use air force general? [Solved]2 I cannot use strategic bomber sometimes (not because the airport level is too low) [Solved]3 Any tips on Fall Gelb? [Solved]4 What to do with annoying paratroopers. I gain a lot of land in conquest but then Japan spams 10-30 paratroopers and they go like insects around my towns and capture it. [Solved]5 I bought that 3 star Japanese navy general. And I bought that 3 star German tank general. Also I upgraded the tank skills of my German commander (not the general but the standard commander) to 3 stars and the infantry level of my soviet general to 2. Is this *Auto Corrected*ed or......? [Solved]6 How do you get like that nuke specials things that you can put on a strategic bomber?? [Solved]7 Most of my generals get 1/2 shot in campaign even when I put them on heavy tank or something. Help!(I do not have medals for promotion) [Solved]8 Is there a sort of secret that makes things a lot easier except from surrounding? [Solved]9 Who knows a good and cheap air force general? 1. You got to have that general in the city you use to bomb the enemy. the bombs you drop on that enemy get the damage bonus from your general. it's important to have the general in the city you bomb with it. 2. the only thing I know is that the airport lvl should be lvl 3. maybe you don't got enough fuel for it. it costs a lot of fuel to do it (40) 3. Invade france via brussel. don't go to the bunkerline. use your troops right now to go to paris. don't go for amsterdam straigh away because you got the strongest troops in the beginning and france is a stronger enemy. after that you got enough money to buy a tank at brussel/berlin. try to use a general on that when if have one and head to amsterdam. 4. when you got enough area you'll see that you got a lot of money. make landmines on the floor. because japan can't spam troops on landmines but you can still walk on it. 5. Artillery-generals are also important because you can bomb a thing with them with a 2 range reach. what about health? meyer (i guess that's the one you bought) is a decent general for the price but got limeted health and dies quickly. don't try to upgrade your eye-covered (german comander). this will cost a lot. try to buy chung for artillery. he's cheap but 3 stars. Don't go for Infantry generals, they are the worst. after this save up for the good generals. like goering (air) and list (art) etc. for more information look at this: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/529/all-general-list-sorted-price6. you will see that some city got a nuke icon: thats that yellow thing. in this city you can build nukes. these nukes will cost 2, 3 or 4 turns to make. after this you can click that into a missile or strategic bomber by clicking on the yellow thing and then on the bomb you've created. in the beginning you can only make a atomic bomb. but when you upgrade the bombs in the HQ you can unlock hydrogen and anti-matter bomb. these are more powerful. wich countries get atomic in which eras is also listed in this: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/529/all-general-list-sorted-price7. what's the question? 8. when playing allies don't attack straigh away but play defensively in the beginning. eventually you got more ground and you can push back germany/japan. also try to attack spain when possible in the beginning. spain don't got much troops but it's still an axis. that's a easy way. but there's no OP thing (except lvl 28 ION-cannon weapon) for more tips look on this thread: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/31/suggest-sun-tzu-tip-week (both ew4&WC3) |

1) air generals are usually assigned on armored cars so they can run along your territory and do some bombing, here's how it works, you assign your air general then send him to an airport, you for example select fighter and then send fighter plane to any enemy target, now your general will increase the damage done to the enemy target (damage done of each star is +6 so a general with 3 stars will do +18 extra damage)
2) I might check this one on the game I too don't know about if
3) FALL GELB
attack Netherlands in the start while building panzers, field artiller and motorized infantry, then bomb the hell out of Brussels (using air and artillery) while your panzers and infantry attack Paris you'll have Brussels in 5 to 6 rounds max after that to loud on Paris sending everything you got ( note keeping making reinforcements like infantry panzers and send them through Belgium) after Paris games over and you win
Don't get in the range of the French forts
Ignore Denmark
4) Paratroopers are a menace, better build forts on your land within enemy air range because they cannot put paratroopers on your forts.
5) better try not to spend your valuable medals in those standard eye covered guys, some people here in the forum calculated their price and it was like 13000 medals while you can get nice generals in 2000 to 3000 (means that building aa eye covered can take 13000 medals) better not do it.
6) still figuring...
7) in ew4 you might expect to unleash your generals in campaigns and let em do the work, this isn't the case here, your generals just cannot do enough in wc3 so in the end the general dies pretty fast ( sames with conquest but even faster) and you have to make non general units to compensate and move ahead in the conquest/level)
8) I have only seen surrounding so I can't tell.

9. I don't know any 'cheap' air force generals, but if you can't find any for less than 800 or so, you can just upgrade one of your Commanders to 3 star air force.

well, i've looked to the general list and i came to this conclusion:
if you want a boat/air general i would pick ozawa he got 3 stars air and 4 stars boat and 100 lives. but is still only 550 medals.
if you want a air general on the land i would pick king. he got 3 stars air and 2 stars inf. and 140 lives. lives are really important for air-generals so this is a good pick. he costs 580 medals.
still to expensive?
try mcAulife. he is 2 stars on air and 2 stars on infantery and cost only 280 medals. the downside of him is that he only got 35 lives. as i already said lives are important for air-generals so i won't buy him. but he's a decent general for the medals.
my advise is to save up at least till you can buy king. but i would save up till goering/dowding
goering: 3 inf/5 air and 280 lives (2160)
Dowding: 3 art/5 air and 230 lives (2030)

Greim is pretty good, with 4 stars in Airforce, 2 stars in Artillery and 1 star in Armor. He have only 65 health though, it's very low compared to others. But he only cost 460 medals! Which is good!

oh i forget about him. he's great but i would personally give him a higher rank to solve his health problem. so he will eventually cost 550 till 600 medals
