Because you used to trust people...then was stabbed and vowed never to be caught off guard again
(By this I mean I used to think alliances could last but was stabbed. I now understand that in Diplomacy nothing is permanent and your friends and enemies could change in an instant. Now I always watch for potential betrayals)

Now I always watch for potential betrayals) This reminds me of:  A passing reference to Julius Caesar getting stabbed 23 times by his own senators . Good thing in the RP nothing is real or permanent and everyone gets a chance to plot their revenge at the next Diplomacy game if the current one is lost. So I guess and to be on topic: ..Because Julius Caesar would have lived a lot longer had he played the Diplomacy game! |
