A pity that there aren't any Training trainers, that is one area that would be really useful, but oh well.

Realistically quiet a few of these trainers are probably never used since they might also cost emblems. Diez for example is the only tier 1 move trainer that I ever seen.

If you regroup a general, can you buy again the general you lose?

Yes, as already mentioned. So basically, to save medals, you can just wait until the cheapest trainer of the skill you want (e.g. Agha for cavalry or Latour for infantry) to appear in academy.

If I have a trainer that costs, say, 500 medals in the academy but it's possible to get one that costs 350, do I wait for a cheaper one or buy the one in the academy?

it is possible to get him when you start refreshing. but this can take a while. and you might need many attempts, so don't go for THE cheapest trainer but just for A cheap trainer

If I have a trainer that costs, say, 500 medals in the academy but it's possible to get one that costs 350, do I wait for a cheaper one or buy the one in the academy? Regarding this example, I would say keep refreshing since the difference is a lot. But if I see Gezan (465) in academy, I will buy him right away, no waiting for Kutaizov (430) because the gap is small. Finding a particular general from a pool of tier 1 general can take a lot of time. Note that you can also improve your general by items. So I normally spend my medals for good items (like pistol, rifle, or warhorse) while waiting for a cheap trainer to appear. So This is ultimately your choice.
