I don't think I will buy a trainer from tier 2 or 3, though. I mean you could use Scharnhorst until you get Isabella. Scharnhorst is really strong and is a great starting general together with Dumoriez. |

I wouldn’t buy a T2 trainer just to immediately regroup them into another general, but they’re great “filler” generals. Sulkowski, for example, can be used as your primary cavalry general until you get Lan, who’ll get the former’s rank and nobility plus a cav star in activating. |
