I have Paladin Shield and Ring, Discovery Age, lvl 70, 4200 medals, some great generals, 400 literature, and not enough time for conquest.
I'm looking at buying one of two legendary items right now.
1. Paladin Sword
2. Keel Shield
Why Paladin sword? Having 3 items of the set will make one of my generals into an actual god, with high power and soooooo much HP. It could really secure some breakthroughs in campaign.
Why Keel Shield? I find that in conquest, either my Saladin or Nobunaga will underperform. Li Shimin and Washington (with my Paladin items) do fine, but one of the other two gets mauled to near-death (Vienna and Athens, especially, are murderous). With the Keel shield, Washington can be granted enough extra survivability to fight his twin in Discovery (and other tough targets), while Nobunaga/Saladin can use the half-set of Paladin to effect. Once I upgrade to the 5th age, I'll get the Keel sword, and hopefully be able to do Great Patriot 5, meaning 2 Keel set items and 3 Paladin items.
