Yet another thread about the infamous suicidal Timoshenko....
But this time that's no the biggest issue, the problem is leveling up: While it is a blessing for you, so it is a curse. The enemy carriers deal more damage, and thus, kill Timo faster. He usually lasts until round 2, the highest I've done is 4 or 5.
My generals are Mainstein, Zhukov, Einsenhower, Super DeGaulle (Usefull meatshield with all max), Super Bai C. X., Super Mainstein, Super Yamahata? (super infantry guy for japan), Super Govorov, Super Guderian, Super Yamamoto, SS Lady? (don't know chinese. Also the SS artillery lady) and currently making a perfect eye covered tank. So my generals aren't an issue.
Any tips for this mission in this mod?

Haven't played this mod, but if you have problems with bombing, try to build air defence on the spot where he's expected to go. If that's impossible, try to give carriers as many targets as possible and find out, which one they like more than Timo.

I remember to pass this mission and as far i remembered from Baidu post , S- Yamamoto is needed .
Try putting generals with 5-star navy and banzai charge carrier? I'm not sure will be work out though

After redoing it a million times, I did it! However, I am 101% sure the gods of wc3 blessed me on this round, as...
-My tank gen and one of my sub gens leveled up on every shot. The tank gen smashed all landing forces, while the sub gen wiped out Hasley's carriers in two shoots.
-Captured Manila
-Captured the French City
-Timo was smart for once, and he went AS FAR as he could from the carriers (a shocker :OOO)

Einsenhower for the Carrier. SS Lady for Commando. S Bai C X for motorized. Eye covered for super tank (level 5: movement, tank, air. Level 4: Plain, Tank Leader, Tide of Iron, Blitz, Ace forces) But as said before, the most important thing is have good generals, and luck on your side.

Apparently, it just so happened that I am also struggling with this mission... Any recommended generals other than S- Yamamoto? I personally prefer S Nimitz over Yamamoto. I think for the most part it is agreed upon that Nimitz in general is better, but in vanilla WC3 he costs more and isn't as versatile. Yamamoto-very adaptable to his environment, while Nimitz is strictly Navy but rightfully so, kind of like Dönitz. That is who I would recommend, since metals should not be a problem what so ever.

So my generals aren't an issue. Any tips for this mission in this mod? Thanks Let you know that in both EW4 and WC3 that the AI is VERY FIXATED in attacking a fort under construction within range. They WILL shoot it first rather than any of your units or your allies like 95 times out of 100. I've used that fort decoy tactic to my benefit many times in a conquest too. It works like a charm in nearly all instances. If it doesn't work, examine what the AI has choosen to attack rather than the fort. Is it becuase the fort is outside the AI's range? Is it because the targeted unit had too much HP? (Just keep in mind that the AI tend to prioritize whatever has the most HP more often than the other units you have, about 75-80% of the time).
