I havent. It's a great book by all accounts.A masterpiece of literature, often ranked as one of the top 10 novel of all times.

when you're being devastated by Russians and deserters.....RIP. I think it is crossing the Alps (Paul Delaroche). So it is 1800 campaign. By the way a very acurate one (Napoleon mounted on a mule) unlike a picture of David.

When you turn from this: to this: You know something happened... I do not think it is just to compare these two pictures. The first one Antoine-Jean Gros's masterpiece (Bonaparte au Pont d’Arcole), the second one is an english caricature, I believe. Both are PR-projects
