kanue ,saltin , This guide was created to fill in the missing Saudi Arabia 1975 guide in the conquest list.
After 5 hours sitting on the laptop and through 76 turns, I finally beat the crap out of the alien conquest (this is my first completed alien conquest btw).
I am quite surprised that for the first time, I have 3 survived allies in an alien battle of any form including Egypt, Iraq and USSR (albeit they were not much useful outside being a meat shield for my force to hide behind).
Minimum Requirement (only as guideline and not definitive): 2 Artillery Generals, level 7+ Artillery upgrade, Level 8 Ion Cannon, PMI (Paratrooper-Motorised-Infantry), most resource wonders built.
Recommended Setup: 4 Artillery Generals (preferably with high mobility), Level 10+ Artillery upgrade, Level 10+ Ion Cannon, Max Level PMI, all resource wonders built.
Difficulty:
- For players new to 1975: Very Hard at minimum requirement loadout, Medium-Hard at recommended loadout.
- For veteran: with correct strategy and decent loadout, probably every conquest in the game is no more than medium.
Foreword for players new to 1975 conquest: If you are finding yourself in this conquest, you probably should have done some Union missions in campaign to get used to alien stats, rocket artillery spamming and relentless paratrooping. However, I want to note that some of the mission of Union tends to guide you to use large amount of super tanks, which is a worse-than-worthless strategy in Alien conquest. In the other hand, if you already know this and you have finished most of the alien campaign, then the good news is alien conquest is kind of easier in the most parts, due to much less initial enemy troops density, much higher time frame for war, and you get lots of time to prepare before the sh1tstorms hit (although the best part for me is that I don't have to save worthless allies like in "Enemy From The North" mission).
EDIT: IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW PLAYERS: UFO are much more vulnerable to airstrike comparing to Alien Gunship, so if situation arise don't afraid to rain justice from the sky on them (don't use bomber tho). Alien Gunship has certain resistance against all sort of airstrike so missile is pretty much the only viable counter against them.
With all of these out of the ways, let's get straight to the work.
I want to note that I did not screenshot my entire gameplay process, because this is my first completed Alien conquest and I worried that I would fvck up some places.

INITIAL TACTICAL ANALYSIS
Initial position: Middle East, surrounded by Egypt, Iraq and India. Two aliens at Medina and the oil field.
Economy and production capability: non-existent.
Cities with nuclear weapon production to be captured in order: Minsk, Lyon, London, Chongqing, Tokyo, Washington DC, Los Angeles
PHASE 1: Ankara
You started out with a heavy tank led by a desert warfare general, and a field artillery. As Saudi Arabia, although you start out pretty weak, you are surrounded by dozens of allies like Egypt, Iraq and India who act as excellent distractions for the alien. However, unlike India and Egypt who are at least a bit further away from the enemy, you have uninvited guests right next to your doorstep at Medina and the oil field south of Riyadh. They are unlikely to greet you straight at the beginning, however sooner or later they will come for you. Put your best artillery general (preferably with high mobility) on your field artillery, storm straight to Ankara with your heavy tank and hit with everything you have, including your Ion Cannon and pretty much anything you can build from Riyadh.
Once you have Ankara, start mass-producing rocket artillery until you have at least 6 of them. If you have a general with good Air skills, then bomb your way to Athens and PMI it. Otherwise crash your way to Tehran and make even more rocket artillery. Establish three defense lines at Tehran, Ankara and Baghdad, with each defense line having around 5 rocket artillery. During this process, spare some rocket artillery (put your other artillery generals if you have on them) and go for Stalingrad.
PHASE 2: Minsk and Europe
Now, Athen could be a better route if you can manage to secure both Athen, Istanbul and Sofia extremely quickly. But by the time you have a good supply of rocket artillery to actually do it, France and Spain are likely to have already defeated, and the aliens from Europe are charging en masse to your Italian buddy right next to Balkan and you probably will not want to sacrifice your hard-earned rocket artillery army against a horde of UFOs. Go for Stalingrad and katyushas your way through the alien tower (and of course with Ion Cannon). From Stalingrad, crash your path to Minsk to get access to nuclear production. When you have nuclear weapons built, target cities with level 3 factory so you can build more rocket artillery for your European Front.
From here, its pretty much conventional brute force tactics of dropping nukes, PMIing and spamming mass rocket artillery against cities in Europe. From Minsk you can also make a separate rocket artillery division and go for Northern Europe. Lyon will be your next important checkpoint for nuclear production. However, as you reach here, the USA and Britain should have fallen (although Britain is unlikely to fall that early), and you gonna have incoming invasion force crossing the Atlantic. Build up a wall of rocket artillery across the French coast line and be ready to get hit. Back in Middle East, there is a good chance that China and India are also already off the game, so you will have invaders coming from Somali and Asia to test drive your Baghdad/Tehran lines. This is the time where you will have to play a bit more defensively until you kill off the invasion wave.
PHASE 3: Great Britain, Spain, Africa
Same process as you have done. Invade Great Britain from Norway and France with the help of your nukes and Ion Cannon. Meanwhile split a division to Spain to create a starting point for invasions into North Africa and Cuba. Send a rocket artillery division from Greece and Italy to retake Alexandria, Cairo and Somali. Start to build up large stockpiles of nuclear weapons and armies of rocket artillery in Britain, Spain, West Africa, Middle East and East USSR (from Minsk).
PHASE 4: America, Asia
Here comes the grandeur part of your conquest. Invade North America through two route: Britain to North Canada and Spain to Cuba/Central America. Invade South America through West Africa with the help of airstrikes from Dakar. Invade India then Bangkok in Thailand and Chongqing in China, while your force from East USSR will go for small Northern USSR cities. North America shouldn't be a problem with plenty of cities having level 3 airports for your nukes, while China will be a bit trickier since the nearest city with level 3 airport is the heavily defended Nanking.
Bangkok has a level 3 factory which you can use to both support your attack into Nanking and as a starting point for the invasion into Australia. During your siege at Nanking you should stock up as much nukes as you possibly can. And once Nanking has fall, unleash nuclear justice on every Chinese cities then use PMI to capture them. If you have spare nukes then go for the alien forces and towers. This will give you a significant boost in your economy and plenty of cities to build even more rocket artillery. After this stage, its all about the mopping process. First go for Japan, then up to Alaska, then Vancouver and finally the entire West Coast of the USA to support your troops from the East Coast. Use nukes and Ion Cannon on Midwars, Philippines, Hawaii and eventually Australia.
Good luck out there on the battlefield gentlemen. Please post below if you have any questions.
Bonus: looks like I don't have to rule the world all by myself with Iraq, Egypt and USSR on my side.
