When a new moderator is needed, a consensus is made by existing moderators as to who to bring in. There is no way to apply

When an opening pops up (new game, staff retire, etc.) the current moderators take a vote in the modcave where they can present their preferred candidate. Don't let the fact that you are new discourage you. Be a positive member, contribute to new games, and you could be a top candidate in no time. Our very own Erich von Manstein was on the forum for only about a month or two before he got a moderator spot (the second moderator of the forum if I remember correctly).
