I agree with best75, a war has already started. We can't have Olympics in these conditions.
At least the Ottoman Empire won't be there. We have more stuff to do.

Looks good to me but can the olympics be cancelled because of major wars? A couple of olympics were cancelled because of the world wars en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1916_Summer_OlympicsSorry. I'm not sure. I think that would be up to the host country and the people attending the Olympics. I'm not sure. What does everyone think? |

I agree with @khurramzafar may be it could increase tensions among nations. Especially among the host and the nations who are fighting war. You can't invite both nations neither any one of them.

I doubt there has never been a war on during the olympics.
Who is at war right now? Just Ottoman and Germany right?

We are at relative peace so I'll be hosting the 1908 London Olympic Games next year. The sports will be the following: Athletics Swimming Archery Boxing Cycling Football (Soccer) Rugby Sailing And Shooting Each country can pick ONE sport to add one point to your dice roll for that sport. Britain will be picking sailing, Australia rugby and to avoid being to unfair I won't add any to my other Dominions (who are technically countries and not the same as the UK so I am doing them separately). You do not have to compet in every event if you don't want to. Two countries will be paired up (maybe by the GM, The Spanish Inquisition?) and roll their dice. The winner gets to play the winner of other pairings until we have first, second and third places for that sport. Hopefully this works well but if people don't like these ideas let me know and we can change it. |

As a display of the "Bonaparte Plan," France will train native Africans in our stadiums. May we submit them as a separate nation as respect to the plan suggests? They will be classified as French Africa if so, and their competition training will be completely independent, but France would like to provide resources to train. I picked Australia because I didn't quite know what to give Canada since hokey isn't one of the sports. Canada is still "competing" but for the sake of gameplay I won't roll for Canada. I'd get that +1 buff on Boxing, I think. Russia will participate in every competition, along with sending Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky to document the Olympics in color.
RL 1908 Olympics had duelling with wax bullets. We might want to do that.
