I personnally have dearborn with 5* move i use boots for +1 movement and i ussualy use him at light infantry for taking like large areas of unmilitarized zones or like small countries fast.
Who is your fastest general?

Back when I made it to American campaign? Dunno. Golitsyn or Sophia maybe, I upgraded Dobeln to 3 stars move and was pleasantly surprised.
In this play through, I have Isabela with 2 stars and geography, so thats good. Also Oak wheels for +1.
....I haven't done much recently. I have Dumoriez with 2 move stars and War Horse for geography. Since he also has geography, I guess on cavalry he is faster than Isabela. I would need to check, he only has +2 movement but again is on cavalry.
