Conquest mode is not good, and I am a person who mostly play conquest (in other EasyTech games). Campaigns are good though but that cannot be played over and over.

I’ve heard an opinion that many people lost their interest in EW5. I’m curious whether or not it is true. Maybe other games got released. Plus, I never new about EW5 before any other game. It was the last game I saw, other than WC4 and EW6.

The conquest was hard to master. The Conquest is not that hard, it's just the radically different Conquest system. Just need to "deter the AI" by placing a skeleton guard at your border cities. Then, use your gens to tear through enemy empires while using Diplomacy to form temporary non-aggression pacts while backstabbing your former allies. You'll get the hang of it. Win 2-3 conquests & you would've eased yourself into this new play style.

I’ve heard an opinion that many people lost their interest in EW5. I’m curious whether or not it is true. I just started this game recently, and I’m currently stuck in discovery era grinding for more literature to get into gunpowder and like everyone else here... the boredom of doing Greece conquest over and over is getting to me. At this point I’m looking into cheats and hacks to somehow get my hands on some literature because it’s no fun anymore. Greece or Persia conquest isn’t a challenge since you can autobattle (albeit with stupid AI) but it’s just boring as hell. Fall of Rome? = Fall of EW5

To be honest, I never was a fan of Greece conquest, but rather of India in Descovery age... Even when you're stuck in Discovery? Is it not quite tough & time consuming? India can give us almost the same number of literature as 4 Greece conquests. And India is a very easy conquest. I would rather play India 10 times than Greece 40 times . However, in practical terms I never did this either, because we have some literature in Discovery age campaigns and receive a solid amount of literature every day. I don't see any point in advancing fast without having enough medals for quite expensive upgrades of the new era...
