I have a few ideas or different types and setting for some RPs. When I get the time I'll edit this and add my ideas.

It's been a lot longer since I made this thread and actually put down some ideas so sorry about that but I finally have and here are the first few:
Kaisereich Alt-Hist RP:
This is an Alternate History RP much like the Latin American and WW1 RPs only instead of being set in a historical setting this will be set in an already Alternate Timeline where Germany won the First World War and "Syndicalists" took over many countries including France and Britain. However, many old governments went into exile such as the British monarchy to Canada and former French Republic to Algeria. Disclaimer this scenario is inspired by a Hearts of Iron Mod called Kaisereich. This idea had been taken by Khurram who has now left.
1750's Europe Alt-Hist RP:
This Alt-Hist RP is set around the time of the Seven Years War. Not a lot more for me to say about this one.
2055 Alt-Hist RP:
This one is set in the future and will revolve around a World War III scenario. It's a bit tricky because of current politics but I think it's far enough in the future to be ok. In this you could basically write the history from 2017-2055 of your country provided it's realistic and doesn't delve to far into politics.
Space Alt-Hist RP:
This one really needs a flashier name than "Space" but personally I quite like this idea (I like all of them but this one I like the most). This RP is set in a Galaxy Far Far Away (or maybe in our galaxy and we can have human? I like making Evil Space Terran Empires) that we can make. Each player gets to make their own unique empire and I'm thinking that before it starts all players can get together and make up some minor NPCs as well to really flesh out the Galaxy. I hope people like this idea because I really want it to be successful and popular.
That's it for now, I may have more ideas later. I'd love it if people have some constructive feedback or let me know what they think. If one idea gets enough interest I will either make it more detailed and/or possibly let someone else GM one.

Cool! It's also most likely to start and the one with most interest so not much feedback here. 2. I like this idea (simply because I like the Gunpowder period), but IMO it's quite similar to HRE, which is in pause. I suggest you talk to Bismarck Jr to see if both can be merged. 3. Okay, but I think it has to have some catches to make sure players don't write an OP history, like a nuclear war or something. I'd also like it if this Alt-His involves nations that unified to form powerful unions (like the whole SEA unifying, Africa unifying, etc.) 4. Good idea, but I think the tech level must be determined first before anything. Can't have people using warp with people just using rockets. Empires should also be balanced, with each Empire's people possessing different strengths and weaknesses. Anyway, when I was thinking about 2055 Alt-His I got an idea: 1984 Alternate History, based on the world of the book 1984. Each nation is supposed to be unbeatable, even if ganged upon by the two others. Would be interesting to see how players circumvent this. To add player capacity, other than the usual Oceania, Eurasia, and Eastasia we could have rebel groups (which are made by the government, lol). Other than that, players could take different roles. In Oceania, one could be Big Brother, another could be the Minister of Peace, another the Minister of Plenty, another the Minister of Truth, another the Minister of Love, etc.

On the 2055 one you are, again correct and if that one becomes a thing guidelines would definetly need be made (and I'm definetly open to an open discussion with people about what those guidelines should be). Tech level would be progessive but yeah we would need a starting point. If this one gets interest I will come up with (and if others want to help, the can) rules and guidelines about it as well as incentives to playing smaller empires because I don't want everyone to have big huge millitary super powerful empires. I'm not going to come up with any further detail on this until/if people get interested because I'd hate to waist time and energy for something no one cares about. For the 1984 one, I haven't read the book though of course I have heard of it. My only concern is that there is only room for a few players. It might be a good setting for a smaller RL on the side though.

Frederick the Great, Laurent de Gouvion, You can do an early space colonization RP where dying Earth empires are scrambling for an opportunity to land a ship somewhere in the remote darkness of the galaxy that could sustain human life (and assuming animal/plant life too hopefully). It can be varied on so many levels, and the GM himself can determine how many or when a country gets to sucessfully send out a rocket (it could be economic related, or just bad luck like getting shot down while trying to break free out of orbit). I would say there's even human space-based colonies floating around in lagrange points Oh also... colony drops... *shudders* (just look them up related to the Gundam multiple alternative universes). Good bye entire planet. RIP

Most interesting to me is the Kaisereich Alt-Hist RP. Its timeline looks to be pretty established which we can work from.
Least appealing to me is the Space RP. I just think it could get too complex introducing all the new technology, rules, countries/empires.

How about an alternative rp such as America 1777. It can be set up in such a manner that the colonists are defeated in their revolt. In this rp, the United States would have never exsisted, while European powers continue to fight over the continent. With the revolution having been unsuccessful, it would practically take away the foundations for the French Revolution also, impacting France for example. You can also have many various Native tribial groups rise to power and side with whomever they please. This is just a rough idea.

You are almost surely aware of this, but the thirteen colonies had 2.5 million people by rebellion and 1777, and almost 4 by the first US census in 1790. I think that would be an extremely large base for British power provided it stays under control. New France was killed for this reason-two few people in comparison. Guess that doesn't invalidate the premise though.

Mainly because there isn't much variety and the British would be much much stronger than everyone else. We also already had a game set in the Americas. Also, the French Revolution would definetly have happened regardless of the outcome of the American Revolution.

I never said the revolution "wouldn't have happened", I just said it would take away emphasis and the will of the people, which it most certainly would have. With the combined efforts of different powers against Britain, they most certainly would not have been "op". But again, just an idea.

Taking away the American Revolution might work, but not the factors that made it happen. I guess the lore would be two possibilities:
1) Britain accedes to the Colonists' demands, limiting its ability to use all its manpower and resources, possibly weaking Britain on the diplomatic stage and domestically.
2) The Battle of Saratoga is won by Britain and Burgoyne's expedition succeeds. The Continental Army is shattered and the Continental Congress scattered. In this scenario Britain would have to face American guerillas.
