What is your favourite war era? Europe wise. Probably post 1900, to 1945. Dunno, napoleonic is nice, and I like all the eras really, with maybe a few exceptions. In EW5, Belisarius gets at level 6 +80% to infantry, basically copying fellow Roman Caesar but stronger, while keeping marching skill. Is silly, he isn't even same unit type as Byzantine special unit, he should have at least got its special skill. Do you think Fire damage would be more useful than marching? At least with marching you can just use boots anyway, if you general. IRL Greek fire stopped being used after the 1100s. Wikipedia suggests that perhaps the secret ingredients had been lost during the shrinking of the Empire, that the secret itself had been lost, or that the Empire was losing the military clout. Edit: once the Bulgarians captured Cheirosiphons and even the oils itself, but were unable to figure it out lol. An Armenian in the 1800s wanted to give the Ottomans his own version provided they let him own it, but they assassinated him instead, without learning the composition. Lucky they didn't learn it. The greeks in the 1820s used fireships to attack the larger Ottoman navy, winning several battles and burning at least 1 flagship. You know what mean? I can use Greek fire in the Crusades RP!
