Overview You play with the british fleet and need to destroy the french fleet nearby egypt. You also need to secure cairo. A navy-hybrid general is recommended as well as some medikits. Also, try to position your ships in one big pact.
Guide Turn your money into foot at crete. Don't be afraid to lose the city and the harbour.
Wipe out napoleon first. Do this by surrounding the ship of napoleon and kill this. Ignore the other southern french ships including the target, he can be outranged at the end.
Use your fleet to go to cairo. Surround and destroy the ships with 2 range, while outranging the ones with a range of 1, don't be afraid to use medikits in order to make sure nelson survives. After you've destroyed the ship capture the harbour.
Destroy the remaining french target using outranging tactics.

Initially, I followed ^^ and I was doing fine, killing Napoleon and the other guard general easily before proceeding to Cairo using the flanking on both sides method to increase my damage. Suddenly, at the last few crucial rounds, all my units had a cloud and a ? mark hanging over their heads. WTF, I ran outta food!
After reading the OP, I repeated the following ^^ with a few modifications of my own. The two privateers were used to jam up the harbour, all of my 3 land troops were used to prevent the enemy from landing on the farm & town for as long as they could. Eventually, they would be over-ran by the French, but it would be ok as I had already traded all my gold and metal for food.
Round 1, I upgraded the harbour to III & upgraded the town and farm. Round 2, I bought a battleship and added a general to it. In the town, I added a 5 star trading general to an infantry unit, traded all my metals and gold for food. This fresh battleship would arrive at Cairo late and fresh. It made a crucial difference at the very end at Cairo as all the ships were all near death.
Similar to OP ^^, I always use the flanking method to maximise damage. Use the more mobile frigates to flank then the battleships to fire on the flanked ships. Add your strongest navy generals to battleships. Avoid the coastal guns. Kill Napoleon, the guard general, the blinking red ship and then the last ship in Cairo port. Ignore all the other enemy ships. Some how Nelson dies easily in this scenario, shield him or pull him out of the hot zone if he is near death.
If you had bought a fresh battleship in round 2, this battleship would arrive at Cairo fresh while everyone is near death. Use this battleship to smash up the ship in Cairo harbour and enter the harbour with a weakened ship to win the round.
Did this in 8 rounds. Have fun!
