The US wanted to nuke Japan even more if Destination: Tokyo aka Operation Downfall had occured. And, in the wiki page on it, Allied to Axis force ratio was 1:6 with the Japs having miltia 5 times as much as the Allied task force size. (Note: this Allied troop count excluded USSR whose intentions are still unsure and only has British Commonwealth forces with the bulk probably being US troops.) Biological warfare was seriously considered by the Allies but despite this, had the Japs fought on, the causualties would probably be equal to the casualty count of the Top 100 bloodiest battles in history. As the effects of nukes were still largely unknown, had the planners and gens listened to Col. Lyle E. Seeman, dropping nukes here and there & rushing into nuked areas after at least 48 hours what cost do you think the soldiers then would pay? If the soldiers had really rushed into nuked areas 48 hours after the nuking I would have shot Col. Lyle E. Seeman, and if he survives... well, he's shot again. I mean lets face it. Sending soldiers into a nuked area? First off no one would be nearby, even less pose a threat. Then all the soldiers die as well... hmm... reminds me of when the Scots invaded England when they were suffering the plaque and the Scots ended up like those they were attacking. www.abc.net.au/lateline/stories/s295331.htm

"Whose intententions are still unsure": *declares war on Japan, transports more than a million soldiers from Europe 5000 kilometres to the East and then conquers from the Japanese a piece of land bigger than Europe and invades islands notoriously close to the Japanese main land*-> intentions still unknown?

However, according to certain people, they believe that Soviets wanted to grab land and establish positions rather than actually leading a campaign into Japan. They also speculated that Soviets have not gone into actual detailed planning on an invasion of the Northern major island of Japan, Hokkaido. Plus, Sino-Mongol-Russo-Korean territories were much closer to home and would be more efficient to invade them to weaken the Japs while leaving the assault of Japan to other Allies.

"then conquers from the Japanese a piece of land bigger than Europe"
Umm the land that Soviet Union took from Japan was about -2,200,000 SQ KM, while Europe is over 10,000,000 SQ KM.
That amount of land would be smaller than European Russia, but larger than the second largest nation by 3.5+ times.
Anyway the problem here is what does intention mean. Yes Russia was planning to use over a million men against Japan, but its less certain if Japan itself was a target.

Polenbal, Erich von Ludendorff, Bismarck Jr I hear that Commissar Binkov is doing a Greece VS Turkey video at some point. I'm scared. BTW, reading the comments its funny. Just as happened on this forum, somebody mocked the Greeks for being poor, so someone like me pointed out the Greeks are actually richer on average. They (the mocker) said something about the Greeks seeing a real army, which is a massive lack of historical knowledge.

I'm expecting typical stuff like "REMOVE [REDACTED]!!!!" and "GIVE BACK CONSTANTINOPLE!!!!"

Erich von Ludendorff, you mean in comment section of course. Since it was only a thread about the video, not the video itself, didn't see any of that from when I was looking. No doubt the comments will heat up on the video, but whose fault will that turn out to be? Remove....everything Turk stronk.

Poor Hellas will be roasted Then Greece as a minor power will summon the Great Power of GB to roast, slice Turkey into Tofurky. as happened in history.

I say remove video. Poor Hellas will be roasted Then Greece as a minor power will summon the Great Power of GB to roast, slice Turkey into Tofurky. as happened in history. Next video: UK vs Turkey. ....I think UK would be unable to occupy Turkey, but would be able to defend Greece and particularly itself. Seriously, we need sequels. He did North Korea vs USA. What about SK (ROK) vs NK or SKxUSA vs NK. I was going to say ROKxUSA vs China but then I remembered he did a China vs USA video so the result shouldn't be super different...could still learn how it would go down perhaps.

Don't worry, just use Greek Fire to burn/explode the Turks at sea, let them come, attack and die. While you slave away for Germany & plant trees to make up for the fumes released from burning.

Poor Hellas will be roasted Then Greece as a minor power will summon the Great Power of GB to roast, slice Turkey into Tofurky. as happened in history. at least in the current game Byzantine and England are a thousand miles away (metaphorically) from each other. Gives me some breathing space Plus, I control the Western Mediterranean. If you're going to pass, you'll have to fight.
