At least everybody knows who Colonel Sanders is. I always wondered if he was actually a colonel. He was a "Kentucky Colonel" which is just a ceremonial postion given by the Governor of Kentucky. He never actually served in the armed forces and certainly never reached the Army/Marine rank of Colonel. I know this because I wondered it myself. |
