Disclaimer/Cautionary Alert Firstly, let's keep this to the point, nice and simple, no need to be uncivil (I certainly hope not!). Just simply consider who was in what generation, all of the former and the present RPers, regardless of their *ahem* behaviors. Behaviors of some RPers shouldn't be brought up in here, okay? And by the way, no generation of RPers is superior to another generation, just purely a chronological categorization, so there's no need to feel bad about it. Okay to start off... I'm guessing TW06 is sorta of the point where the 1st and 2nd generations ends... the 2nd and 3rd generations ends at maybe TW11/12, and the Boom of Dippy games.
I personally had my first experience was trying to join TW09 but it never got off the ground, but then finally got to play TW10. I don't really know much of the RP section history before TW09 (other going back over the old threads obviously)

I think the 2nd generation started with TW10 since that's when you, Picard, Fred joined I am not sure what generation Conrad von Hotzendorf is in, he first joined TW8 which is between the when most of the 1st and 2nd generation joined |

I'm trying to pull up some other names from TWO8 and eariler. Then also, I'm trying to pull up names from between 2nd and 3rd generation. I've looked up TW14, and TW11 already. |

So I'm including him with 3rd for now. If there's any disagreement about where or who, whatever... I'm open to whatever (constructive) feedback As for 3rd/4th gen, I'm thnking of a cut off point... both post-TW and Diplomacy-related, it was around the same time the TWs was falling into dormancy. So the people who have played Dippy here would be 3rd gen. I haven't included the 'If we were an empire' thing, but people who joined at that point would be 3rd gen for sure in accordance to the above criteria. |

The way I see it each generation had a big influence on RP on EFC, each had a different influence but each also had an equally important influence (I hope what I'm saying is ok, I'm not sayin any generation was better or more important rather stating how I see the different generations effecting the evolution of EFC RP.). The First Generation were the pioneers of RP here and it's unique style and are how it all started. The Second (or Next Generation, The Spanish Inquisition yuo approve of name?) Generation came along with new ideas and helped drastically change what this board is like. We had the Rise of Diplomacy and revolutionary new TW designs. Then finally (actually more like currently. I expect a Fourth Generation one day) the Third Generation has new blood arive and help build on and popularise what the previous two generations did. Here we see the rise of the Alt-Hists and the RP Group and Leaders. Now while I say St. Cyr is chronologically Third Generation, I think he also fits with the Second Generation because he really did help evolve the TWs and the RP Board. How you may wonder? Well back when TWs were still a thing Desophaeus and I were working on each of our TWs, while we did this occasionally we would bounce ideas off of each other. What ended up happening was Laurent de Gouvion started helping me with my TW and he came up with some ideas that were new and very good and some actually ended up in Deso's TW. Sadly mine (and St. Cyrs) TW never saw the light of day as interest in the TWs had dissipated. Anyway my point is all generations has their own unique and important impacts and that @thepeoplechamber is Third Generation based on when he joined by his impact was similar to that of the Second Generation. |

Btw, some people did sign up for dippy, RPs, TWs, but didn't post a single turn, so I'm not including that cluster of inactives who were never active, but long as somebody did had posted at least ONE action/turn, that guy is a former RPer. |

The current generation is open to new RPers, which all other generations can't replenish their numbers of active RPers. Eventually, the "older" generations will die out. At some point, the more recent ones will die out too. Eventually, YOUR generation will die out too.  |
