is a map posted each turn? To everyone: A thumbnail to show you what the cleaned up map looks like after removing the names and recoloring to the basic palette. It makes things much quicker and easier to fill in updates and upload directly from the phone instead of using GIMP on my laptop. The trade-off is blurry outlines and imprecise colors (because I don't want to repick the correct colors and reinsert into the palette every time I boot up the app because it's a freebie, not a paid version). This means it will be easier for me to upload an update after each movement phase instead of only after a Fall season.

If you have a bigger clean file, I could do the mapping.

That was just the thumbnail. This is the same file at actual size s16.postimg.cc/475sldm2d/sketch-1496288791149.pngIf you have a bigger clean file, I could do the mapping. I can redo the cleanup but on my laptop instead. TBH... It's not that hard (especially with the anti-aliasing off and paintbrush at maximum hardness and ofc the almighty bucket fill tool). I think I should be available to do that tomorrow. (Besides at the start, it's only a winter phase which doesn't need an update until the end of the winter phase)
To all, not just Picard: Once either of UK or USA is selected and the pair is assigned... I'm thinking of starting tomorrow noon (Chicago local time, if anyone outside America is wondering what time I'm referring to), giving 24 or 48 hours for the initial winter 1939 phase to give people time to settle down and start negotiating with each other in private. I'm thinking main movement phases 24 hours or 48 hours, and retreat phases/winter phases (not counting the first one) only up to 24 hours. Good? Bad? Also if anyone has a question, I don't mind answering and helping you. Tagging The Spanish Inquisition, Imperial RomeBall, Yi Sun Sin, best75, Polenbal, Laurent de Gouvion, Quintus Fabius I've put in a poll for you guys.

The Spanish Inquisition, I can do you one better and give you a CLEANER map to work with as a master file. Await the magnificence of my GIMP prowess for it shall come to you soon! (I'm finished with the major cleanups, but now working on the tiny bits left)

(I'm finished with the major cleanups, but now working on the tiny bits left) The Spanish Inquisition , took me roughly an hour and half in total (not including breaks, heheh), but I have finished up a CLEAN, ABSOLUTELY CLEAN copy of the map for you. The names are erased, and the lines reworked to give a smoother bucket fill-ins for a mapper to work with. I've gone over practically every single pixel on this map, but I'm now completely satisfied with this. Or the link itself... s30.postimg.cc/ezzu9erm9/Clean_Z4.gifShould be a total breeze for you to use throughout the seasons as a master copy.

I am interested in joining, first time participating in such events on this particular forum. He is going to tell you, methinks, that you can't since we already have the full amount of players. I assume you know DIP then? If you do, then you know the importance of the players. I guess I could vacate my position, though thats a bit ridiculous and I would regret it. Anyway, about dice! You simply click the symbol from the line of options that are above the dedicated reply box, and it will add as many dice as you click it. Then you find out the result when you post the thread. Some reply to themselves about the result, though I prefer to edit it. the problem with editing being that if you erase the dice and then put it back, it will penalize you by scrambling the dice or maybe worse, don't remember. A built in tampering resistance. If you've accidently erase it, you can click to the main page or such an option, and when you come back it will be as normal. DIP doesn't use dice, but its pretty common in all other games we do. If you, say, attacked a region of Poland you would roll for it. Usual rolls vary from 4-5 to 8-9 depending on how many troops you face or how unlikely your victory is. Edit: 4-5 dots, not dice. Can also roll to simulate elections, whether your president gets assassinated, lots of stuff. That is a short and no doubt incomplete guide to it. Edit: one thing. Sometimes we do a roll of 4 dice for more theoretical actions, like researching Tanks and stuff. In that case a common minimum roll is needing 15 dots. On this screenshot you can see its the second last on the right, next to the VERY new Spoiler option!

I am interested in joining, first time participating in such events on this particular forum. Great! One thing though... we have all 7 spots filled up. I can put you on standby in case someone needs to drop out. You still can ask any questions about how Diplomacy games work so you will be ready to step in (or if nothing, then you still at least will be ready to play Dip07 the next game).

Hmm, for now leave it be as an auxiliary thread.
I will edit the first page to include a mention that the spots are filled, but there's always the next game (or someone drops out in this one).

The Spanish Inquisition, I am surprised that you used my first map rather than the second one. Out of curiosity, did you liked the 1st one better?
