Years ruled: 600 Eur 600 Amr 150 Asia
150 campaign stars finished coalition, Retreat of Empire in Eagle, Austro Turk in HRE
Generals: Diez, Sophia, Fatimah, Kate, Maria, AugustI
Do I have enough stars, years ruled for Isabela? If so, maximum number of rounds req and resources req?
Planning to unlock Isabela, combine Diez with Sophia, combine August I with Isabela and grind art trainers. Maria replace with Vitoria, Fatimah with Ian, Keep Kate for SNS, Keep Sophia as 2nd art general with Isabela first. Fill other two slots with Dobeln and grind other Berither as 2nd cav (I understand price). Good idea?

You’ll need 700 years-Europe to get Isabela. That’s approximately completion of the first two campaigns and where you are in HRE. If you’ve saved the conquest in which you got 600 years and keep checking it after every completed campaign she’ll eventually show up.
Your posts asks for advice, so mine would be to get your cavalry situation in order. You’ve done well to get to where you are without a proper cavalry general, but the situation, if not addressed will become a showstopper as far as campaign progress goes. For example, in Retreat of the Empire (where you are in IE), manning the double-heavy cav and double-guards cav with proper cavalry generals is a key to success. Some other specific responses to your plan, as you describe it:
- Fatimah is useless, so don’t be afraid to regroup her before you get Lan. Lan will level-up fine on her own, because she’s a killer. However, you’re a ways off from getting Lan.
- There is no need to get Dobeln. Maria is decent-enough on infantry and infantry is the third most effective unit type.
- You’ll get Sakurako on your way to getting Isabela; and Sakurako is a sufficient hybrid gap-filler, until you get more elite princesses.
- If you’re willing to pay for Dobeln, then you should get Golitsyn instead. He’s only 85 pesos more, and exponentially more effective. Golitisyn will address your cavalry problem, which will in turn allow you to continue to make progress in campaign; and also speed-rush for elite princesses. You can’t rush with Diez.
Regarding Berthier… I have maxed-out versions of Lan, Berthier, and Golitsyn and they are fairly indistinguishable as far as output. If Berthier is better than Golitsyn, then the difference is decidedly not worth the farming cost you’ll need for both cavalry and movement stars to get Berthier there. By all means, buy him, but treat his development like a 3rd cavalry-side project. He requires a *Auto Corrected*load of medals but also a *Auto Corrected*load of HQ refreshes which is time-consuming.
People are always asking about how to get Lan, when her functional equivalent (Golitsyn) is available in tier 2.
