Hi,
New around here. So I've gotten a few generals, not all the best, but I think decent. No additional items for them. I'm part way through Imperial Eagle and Coalition campaigns. The generals I have are Arnold, Yermolov, Oudinot, and Sophia (just got). I'd appreciate any advice on next steps to spend medals on, etc. Thanks!

I would buy with Arnold (5 stars in business) snare drum for Oudinot...right now! If you have enough medals buy movement items for artillery and infantry. You need a cavalry general, I suggest Sulkowski (tier 2, 860 medals, 4 stars in cavalry, skills strike-spy-cav.trainer) He is very good because with him you can obtain Isabela and even Victoria and Lan. But I want to know your generals' nobility.

Whatever you do, don't regroup sophia, she is a very useful general. I created a thread on the best farming method so you should check it out. It will help you to get lots of medals. Buy these items: snare drum, warhorse, +6 cavarly pistol, +6 artillery, 2+ artillery movement and 1+ artillery movement (use both of these for isabella, and for sophia, she can move 4 hexes like isabella if you give her a warhorse, 2+ artillery movement and 5 stars for movement(use trainers.) It costs lots of medals but you can farm most of it.
Use 1798 great britian to unlock isabella, there is a guide for it on the forums.
If you are going to spend any money, just buy more general slots, don't need to buy tier 1 generals, if you have 5 slots, get isabella, sophia, lan, victoria and golitsyn as your last general.
Good luck

Thanks for the feedback. I'm almost to Battle of Jena. Just have to get past Three Emperors, though I haven't tried that since I got Sophia. Then I could get snare drum.
I just had Sulkowski come up in Tier 2, though I haven't bought, as I'm still short on medals. I'm working Trafalgar to build them up.
Nobility is as follows: Arnold 0, Yermolov 2, Oudinot 2, Sophia 3.

Agree with Schultz. Priority 1 is to get a good cavalry general. Any one with (and all the best have) the strike/surprise combo. It will be difficult to go much farther than where you are in the game without one. Then farm, specifically for nobility, because you can get those levels up quickly, if you're not up for the full rank/nobility grind. Point being is that survivability across your HQ is low.

A great cavalry General is almost a must, it can clear weak enemy troops(militias) and the ability to attack again after killing enemies make cavalry the tanks of this game.

I now have Sulkowski and got snare drum for Oudinot. Is the general strategy to get my generals I'll be keeping for awhile all up to 5 stars in their specialties and then start adding items that enhance them or a mix? How important is training up on move or do you mainly get extra items to enhance movement? Thanks.

If you have only 4 slots, your quartet must be a female group. If you want to keep your actual generals... this isn't the best idea
