It looks polished, the UI is neat and uncluttered, the real test is how the AI performs.

Alright I have played the boot camps mission and tried the first mission of the Winter War campaign. i must say i am really impressed.
The boot camp mission I expected to be a few simple boring tutorial mission but the missions themselves turned out to be quite fun as the game does not hold your hand the whole way. The 2nd mission has you fighting across a few islands to do a landing. 3rd mission has a naval battle A nice feature is the supply system. You forces have to be able to trace to supply sources and there has to be enough supply or else you forces will not fight well. This means when doing a landing you gotta bring a supply ship or else your force won't have supply. Can cut off enemy supply as well.
First mission of Winter War really gives feel of fighting as Finland. You have to defend from a soviet attack. You are outnumbered a bit and your force mostly consists of infantry. At first I had to retreat my units and some were destroyed. Even light tanks and recon units can give your infantry units trouble to deal with. Lucky I was able to buy a AT unit which was able to give my other units supporting fire to take out the T-26. I was able to rout enemy in north while in south west I stopped enemy attack.

I figured out how to take screenshots in the game and it seems they are fully moving to european threats now as they released a german campaign that goes to 1941 .org/image/kd5q836rn/] Crossing a river .org/image/7wwwlwf0p/] Campaign map before a mission. Have this game, can confirm it's great. Just a note: all campaigns are DLC, but purchasing only one will onlock the ability to use the editor and download mods.

Been playing the Morning Sun campaign and i have to say it is my favorite. The campaign is set during the 2nd Sino-Japanese war which is rarely seen in so its nice to see that in the game. The developers really paid attention as there are features such as the foreign concessions .org/image/bckqwuy79/] The chinese have a variety of equipment brought from other nations that you will see .org/image/f5g3d2i8b/]

Pee-pew! It looks real nice and complicated. It's really just a Panzer General clone with some new gimmicks, but said gimmicks are fun enough that you'll keep playing it instead of Open Panzer.

I been playing the Winter War campaign which has you playing as Finland and I am enjoying the unique gameplay of this campaign In one such scenario you have to cut a soviet column into small pockets and defeat their units. It makes great use of the supply feature because the units in pockets will suffer supply shortages making their units easier to destroy .org/image/670erjqcp/] You will often find the soviets have much stronger units than yours. You will either have to lower their effectiveness with constant artillery and bomber attacks or cut their supply to destroy them. .org/image/dx7lyk1it/] The finnish forces you are commanding are unable to purchase tanks until the last few scenarios. Till than you have to make use of captured soviet tanks which you get by completing secondary objectives. .org/image/oin0qh0d5/]

Besides the official scenarios there are customs scenarios made by the community. I found a few soviet scenarios such as the soviet invasion of Poland which I am playing right now. .org/image/4iivtxydb/]
