When playing conquest mode, everyone will have access to the various ages and units from different countries, some of which seemed exclusive to certain countries and ages.
Which of these are good in your opinion?

The Ashigaru from japan is really good. The extra damage from these units is always welcomed.

I liked the Arabic mamluks because for once I could use cavalry to attack archers and NOT get shredded, also liked the French special cavalry, paladin. But my true favorite is the American gatling gun. And mercenary for America and India, tanks where cool too.

Did anyone ever utilise the Persian Immortals? I know I didn't.
I feel that the Russian Crossacks were a much better choice due to the Assualt unit ability.

I remember the super mortars from the french were quite good.
No counter attacks saved those units from getting destroyed when attacking other artillery and towers

Are Hussars better damage wise? When I pulled up the upgrade page for Hussar Attila, I saw that the extra damage to infantry dropped back to 50%. I did the Math with the given values and found Hussar Attila to be better in damage.
