So the Swedish and other countries were invading Swedish-Russian territories in WC3 campaigns then? You're complaining about the poor geographical accuracy of a game made by a Chinese company who didn't even bother to look into an atlas book? Surprise, surprise... they're gullible enough to buy into the Finland mythos and published it as matter of fact alongside the missing half of Australia seen in the same game! Why would anyone trust them and take them at their word that Finland does exist?

That's the only explanation why Canada has a oil producing island in the IRL middle of nowhere.

The PRC believes that it's the centre of the world and is important enough in the cosmos that the lost island of Atlantis would've been located in a ocean somewhere beyond the shore of China, far far away, in a time long time ago.

I'm talking about this place that somehow has a city and was owned by the US during the Cold War. (Red Shadow/NATO 1; see that little island?)

US still holds it in 1975, surprisingly.

If they can do that, why can't they not fuddle with a few more hexes and add a Finland in the Baltic?

I was wondering what type of a cultural perspective Easytech was using in relation to the obviously made-up island. It's important to use the right framework for cross-cultural analysis. [Insert more liberal college level drivel]

Most of US map is coincidentally similar to that event last year.

Maybe EasyTech wanted to play gods and raised a Finland as well. Now, the truth is out.

Tagging Quintus Fabius, The Spanish Inquisition, Laurent de Gouvion, Imperial RomeBall, Yi Sun Sin, best75, Polenbal [Start of Satirical Announcement] I declare a new rule for all of the players in Dip06: henceforth, the land space named as Finland shall be changed to a sea space named "Sea of Finland" or SOF for short. The Helsinki SC is removed off the map, and the Army unit that was standing in the so-called "Finland" will be automatically disbanded because land units are not allowed to occupy sea spaces in Diplomacy games. Anyone who accidentally forget to treat that region as a sea space instead of a two-coast land space on the map will be given a dire warning about attempting to use a bug in their advantage for the first time. Subsequent failures on the part of the same player who made that same offense previously will be summarily ejected from the game without a second warning. A mention of "Finland" is understood to be a shorthand reference to the properly termed "Sea of Finland". A simple terrain-neutral usage of the name "Finland" is not sufficient for a warning or an ejection by itself, but if within the context, it is understood that the space was considered falsely as a land space... then the violation will lead to a warning (if first time) or an ejection (if second time or beyond) juat just the same as a deliberate illegally written order is considered in the light of this necessary adjustment to the map. [End of Satirical Announcement] I hope I didn't scare anybody
