Not really knowledgable so don't quote me on this but I think USA would win if it ever comes down to a full on war. The USA spends by far the most on its military budget and I heard they are quite technologicaly advance. But I doubt any major war would be popular with the USA public If Russia DOES declare war on us... the entire public would be in absolute uproar, stroking up massive dosages of patriotism to defend our nation on the other hand. But I doubt Russia is that stupid to declare upon USA unprovoked.

Also, if you create a china-us version of this you can basically copy my commentary an change 'russia' into 'china' While I agree that China is currently outmatched in projection, in fact I've noted before that despite its giant population its army won't be able to take out USA since they aren't on the same continent.. Apparently the Soviets with their deep battle technique (as opposed to the German Blitzkrieg) had plans for invading China, but considered it risky. If the Soviet union couldn't take out the PRC, the USA isn't going to. (since China has kept advancing in power while many in this thread question American ability to take out Russia) Edit: so basically we have no disagreement here.

What is historically the anti-war faction of USA doesn't even like Russia ATM, so I doubt there would be a massive amount of resistance until large amounts of men are lost. As they would be. Then again they would quickly resort to their anti-militarism and spin the situation so maybe I'm wrong. Sport the war, war support The sport is war, total war When victory's a massacre.
Be dead friend from above When darkness falls Descend onto my sights Your fallen walls Spearhead break through the lines Flanked all around Soldiers of attrition Forward their ground

The real loser is the US cuz either ways, it's easier to battle in US territory. (Remember WC3 CWE conquest 1950? Sorry Germany, you were in the way)

So it's more or less a draw, US can control the seas and defend but Russia can more or less only defend and US cannot gain the initiative quick enough. Next: US VS Canada, Cuba & Mexico.
Conditions: No nukes. No NEW allies. And all their troops overseas can be recalled to join the war. Attacks may or may not be coordinated. WHO. WILL. WIN?

Yeah I guess its a draw. Most of the Russian Navy should be gone, and while Russia itself will be hurting thats nothing new to them.
I think its relatively clear who will win on this one lol.
Looking at one list of military sizes, and total troops counting non-actives
United States: 2,349,950 troops Budget: 597 Billion dollars
Canada/Mexico/Cuba: 1,937,450 troops (417,000 Mexico, 321,000 Canada?, 1,234,000 Cuba) over 32 Billion dollars (18 Canadian, -2 Cuban, -12 Mexican)
Note that the vast majority of the US military is active or reserves, while Cuba is overwhelmingly Paramilitary, with less than 100,000 Actives and reserves. Both Mexico and Canada have mostly actives and reserves.
Total population: 321 million USA. 119 Mexican, 35 Canadian, -12 million Cuban. (166 million)
Canada and US have (still?) the worlds longest undefended border. It has over 80,000 troops on hand to defend it. Against hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Many in Canada consider it a joke, I know some who say it would be a matter of a phone call.
Meanwhile Mexico lost the last war with USA, I don't think its going to win this one.
Finally Cuba has enough "troops" to make a landing hell for the Americans, who would be outnumbered for at least a bit, but Cuba is so close to USA I imagine a heavy amount of missiles and bombs are coming its way first.
All in all Cuba MAY do best, but I don't see this Tripartite alliance surviving.
The most interesting thing is, all the Canadians, Cubans, and (millions upon millions) Mexicans living in USA. They would no doubt oppose this war.
Edit: Anti Regime Cubans might like the war, though their opinions on Mexico and Canada might be different, along with how many Cubans have to die.

Interesting to hear what people think about this war.
I was never satisfied with the "they'd just phone" argument. I'd like to hear someday from a professional about what would really happen if USA invaded Canada. The ending is beyond doubt, but how would it go down?
Meanwhile even if Canada DID roll over, Mexico is not going to, and I doubt Cuba will implode like other Latin American dictatorships but I could be wrong.
Forgot to mention, it is said there is more Drug enforcers than the Mexican army, in other words 300,000+.
They keep fighting Mexican government in what counts as a war. I wonder how they would respond to a American invasion?

On Russia vs. USA, it really depends on each side's objective. US control of air and sea with better cruise missiles and better defense against such could bring Russia to the negotiation table. However, if the goal is simply to annex, yes it would be a draw. Anyway, Nobunaga Oda can you write a bit regarding the goals of each side? Is it just simple annexation?

When it bogs down to a draw or a win on one side, that's when it concludes.

www.nationalpriorities.org/campaigns/us-military-spending-vs-world/Can I just say now that I think the USA would win that war easily, because they aren't only spending the most on military, but they also have one of the best Navy/Air Force Combinations. Mexico, Canada, and Cuba would quickly be occupied with low border defense, mobilization, and military technology/spending. It would hardly be a fight.

Hmm, it seems the US is OP in that last round. Next: UK and Germany VS Norway, Denmark and Sweden. It's time for the Scandinavians to unite once more! Conditions: No nukes. No NEW allies. And all their troops overseas can be recalled to join the war. Attacks may or may not be coordinated. WHO. WILL. WIN?

Lets compare the military budgets of both sides
Gb+germany: 39,2+45,7=84,9 billion usd Scandinavia: 6,2+4,4+7=17,6 billion usd
Gb and germany have a budget almost 5 times bigger than the one of scandinavia...
But money doesn't say everything so let's view some other points, such as millitary personel:
Gb+ger: 657.000 Scandinavia: 199.750
Again a clear edge for the anglogermanic folks..
Next one air crafts: Gb+ger: 1554 Scandinavia: 388
Tanks? Gb+ger: 792 Scand: 229
I can see a pattern.. how about Navy?
Gb+ger: 157 Scand: 215 (wait whutt?)
These numbers may or may not be all too accurate, but you can clearly see the extreme edge of gb and germany for this one beating the scandinavian folks in basically everything except navy (which i think gb+ger should actually be better then them in rl)
This war would last no more than half a year, and only because of the rough terriotry of scandinavia.

NetherFreek already addressed the military spending of the Anglo-Germanic alliance, but I'd also like to bring up the fact that you issued the condition of "No New Allies." Germany and England are two of the most prominent members of NATO giving them help from the USA, France, Italy, Spain, and more. I'm pretty sure the Scandinavians wouldn't even be able to last for a few months.
