Through Royal Marriage, the princess of the Capet Royalty is married to the Burgundians, hereby creating a Union between the two kingdoms, and making one state. Now that the issue of Capet lands is solved, I take my leave. Hugh III of Burgundy use my lands well.

I must raise some questions on this... it smells funny to me, the hand over of the highly contested Francia's crown and crownlands to my junior. This smacks of pettiness, vindictiveness, retaliation... in short, it seems to be done out of spitefulness. Well? Honestly, I am suspicious about this. What is going on?

So Burgandy can just join the HRE and sudendly instantly have a good shot at being its Emperor? That's not right.

Huh, I was going to say this makes sense, but Venice/Hungary made the 1180 one, though I guess not 1181? Byz is ok this with. Only thing it does is taking it out of my hands. The choice that is, though I was going to kill him off with a dice roll if things go south.

Or some sort of anarchy?

Nor do we skip to the Angeloi. When he died, his French Crusader Wife took power as regent due to his son being too young. However her policies were unliked and Andronikos I Kommenos rose up and took power until 1185. For multiple reasons this is undesirable. Would anyone complain if I make up a new claimant to the throne that Manuel endorses? Not like I'm playing to simulate the Death of Byzantium, though it needs to be a realistic survival.

The Byzantines actually have more of an elective option for the emperor to decide rather than outright primogentiure. It is not recognized by the Byzantines that it HAS to be the elder son, etc... So even though I may choose from my sons (creating a mess no matter which ), but you're more so free to pick a different guy than me.
