Hello !
I have 2000 medals and I think that it's time for me to buy generals. But i don't want to buy emblem or extra slots so bye bye Lannes, Poniatowski (?), etc.
So my question is who are the best general for tier 2 ? For Artillery Scharnhorst or Grouchny or a other (?) ? Is it worth to buy a Infantry general ? ( i rarely use infantry)
Thanks for answering me.
PS: Excuse me for my English, i'm French and i'm sure that i make horrible mistakes. 😅

If you don't have any general I suggest you to buy a cavalry general, Sulkowski is VERY GOOD (4 stars in cavalry, skills strike, spy, cav trainer and costs 860 medals). With him you can obtain Sophia and Isabela, both artillery generals. If you want an artillery general Kutaisov in tier 1 is cheap, but Scharnorst is stronger (they're trainers). Infantry general isn't needed, cavalry and artillery are stronger. A good hybrid art-inf is Yermolov with skills accurate, formation and art trainer. At least, Grouchy has only engineering + 4 stars, so he's bad for 910 medals

1. Sulkowski and Scharnhorst. 2. Mostly Kutaisov, Scharnhorst if you want more. 3. Arnold or no one.

I finished the game, got 420 stars and didn't spend any money on slots or emblem generals. The first generals I bought were golitsyn and scharnhost, then I got Sophia and Isabella, regrouped scharnhost into Isabella so I can have a free slot to upgrade Sophia and Isabella to 5 stars artillery, and give them some movement. Using upgraded golitsyn, Sophia and Isabella, and with important items like snare drum, warhorse, 6+ artillery and cavalry attack, I got lan and Victoria. I took in lan, and regrouped golistyn into her so I can give her some stars. Then I took in Victoria who I didn't train (no slots.)
This is just a summary of what I did but I suggest you get golitsyn as your cav gen because he is the strongest one in tier 2. You will have a greater chance of getting lan and Victoria.

sns isn't really hard compared to the other campaigns because when you get to sns, you will have strong generals and lots of items.

No you shouldn't sell any items. There are still land missions in sns, half of them are. The only naval items i bought is the 4+ ship attack and propeller. The only thing that makes sns hard for some players is that you start with few units but that's not a problem because your generals would do most of the work.

I would say something along the lines either one of these.
1.) Golitsyn OR Sulkowski -> Sophia -> Isabella -> trainers -> Lan -> regroup Cav plus 1 or 2 Agha (depending on whethere you bought Golitsyn or Sulkowski) into Lan -> Victoria
2.) Dumoriez and Scharnhorst -> Sophia -> Isabella -> regroup Scharnhost and other trainers (artillery, navy, and maybe movement) -> Lan -> Regroup Dumoriez and an Agha into Lan -> Victoria
If you have IAP's or extra slots it messes these up.

GOLITSYN GET GOLYTSIN You really only need Kutaisov since you get Sophia early in the game. If you really really really really want more artillery get Scharnhost No not really.

Hull is good general. With drums Is pretty good. Inf is the weakest of the three unit types, but Hull is decent for a tavern gen if you're doing a conquest on USA map.
