Hi, just a question. With what generals am I supposed to succeed in these missions? Of course I know that it has to be difficult, but still...
Example: one of the mission is to defeat just one Genghis Khan. I have three slots. I use Li Hongzhang (level 60, ArchCom level 4, Leadership level 5), Nobunaga (level 60, leadership & spy level 8), and Nelson (Level 60, ArchCom level 3). Yet I was not able to defeat Genghis, until lately - and barely for one star.
I get that you have to have the best of the best generals, the point is that I don't know if there is something better than I have (yes, except for Washington, but I cannot use IAP). Are Nobunaga, Nelson, and Li Hongzhang not good enough? Do I need to wait and farm for all item sets?

I completed all defense missions without any legendary sets or IAP generals, so it is possible  , but, of course, not easy. Nobunaga and Li are neccessary for defeating Khan. Both of them should have Leadership lvl 9-10. At that time I used Jhansi instead of Nelson. She and Li had Commander skills lvl 9-10. So I believe that is one way to defeat Khan with 3 stars - increase Leadership and Commander skills. Another way is to use generals with Rumor. I used Peter with a great success, but Bismarck could do the job well enough. So imo two possible ways 1. Nobunaga (his Spy lvl 8 should be sufficient), Li, Nelson with Leadership and Commander skills lvl 9-10 2. Nobunaga, Li and Bismarck (with Bismarck' Rumor lvl 6-7 at least, thus waiting for a lucky shot) Be aware of your timing - your generals should attack first (preferably Nobunaga - give him best boots you have) Good news are that Khan is arguably the toughest mission in Osaka  |

I find Rumor skill to be very useful for defense missions. If you are lucky, you can disable your foes for several turn. And since you can retry as many times as you like, you will eventually be lucky.

Thanks all, finally done all 10 Osaka missions!
Genghis was really the toughest, beated with Li Hongzhang (level 60, ArchCom level 8, Leadership level 10), Nobunaga (level 60, leadership & spy level 9), and Bismarck (level 50, rumor lvl 7).
I have to retry many times, until rumor triggered - and funnily, suddenly it was so quick that Li's Commander skill hasn't time for triggering...

I know I have all industrial age generals, Still not be passable so, I selected long range artillery mounted on an general , This works.Just put 2 infantry generals and try to destroy napoleon and resume shooting napoleons with artillery generals. |
