Alternate history:
-The Spanish Republic wins the Spanish Civil War and joins the Allies, later joining the WTO.
-All of Latin America joins the WTO
-Playing as Colombia and Switzerland, with Switzerland being part of NATO
-Capturing Zurich gives you lots of gold 
-Finland joining the NATO
-Germany wins the European section of the Second World War and repels the American D-Day Invasion, but does not manage to annex the Nordics, and Belgium, the Netherlands, and France and Poland turn into fascist puppet governments. Post WWII, Italy stays fascist, Great Britain remains free from German influence but has no clear hopes of beating back Germany, and Spain strengthens its ties with the Soviet Union to prevent Germany or puppet France from invading it. This would be the 1946 conquest
-Portugal erupts into civil war, which Spain uses to annex it by offering help to the socialist revolutionaries
-Finland manages to annex Leningrad, Riga, and East Prussia, the latter of which it later gives to Germany
-Later on, Italy, Great Britain and the Nordics form the ATO, the Allied Treaty Organization, with Finland joining as well due to feeling that Germany isn't giving them enough credit for their conquests, while Spain and the USSR form the STO, Socialist Treaty Organization
-Balkan countries (Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, and German satellite Yugoslavia) start having conflicting feelings about being in the Axis, and whether to join the ATO or the STO. A later annexation attempt from the USSR beating back by German-sponsored troops later strengthens Romania's Axis ties, while Hungary and Bulgaria decide to ask for half of Yugoslavia each to Germany. When Germany refuses, they ask for help from both the ATO and STO to fight back Germany, but both refuse in fear of Axis retaliation and get officially annexed by Germany. Finally, Greece overruns Istanbul and joins the ATO, which leads Turkey to discuss joining the Axis or the STO. Germany offers it Istanbul in exchange of Axis membership and overrunning Stalingrad, which they successfully do.
-Egypt betrays the Allies, wrestles British control off of itself, and seizes Africa, creating a monopoly over the continent; they hand out Syria to Germany as part of a treaty to not invade Egypt or Africa
-Turkey joining the Axis leads to Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia joining it as well in fear of being invaded by Turkey. The Axis now has a way into India, who is also facing the threat of the Rising Sun..
-Japan overruns China, Mongolia, and Siberia, and repels numerous invasion from the US and the Soviet Union, making it a stalemate between Japan and both countries but a victory in the Asian field, with Thailand seizing the British and French Asian colonies, and Australia declaring independence from GB and therefore wartime neutrality. Japan and Thailand confirm their alliance to Germany, making Japan and Germany rulers of around half of the world
-In the American continent, Canada decides to remain loyal to the UK, in spite of Australia successfully attaining independence, in exchange for military intelligence and greater independence over their monetary reserves. Later, this would prove deadly for Great Britain...
-America, now conflicted after not one but two losses against the Axis, finds itself economically and morally devastated. This, in addition to communism taking over one country after another down in Latin America, leads to a revolt of the Western United States, once again over states' rights and federal control but this time also over socialism, splitting the US between the Communist States and the Federal States of America (CSA and FSA).
-The CSA join the STO and the FSA join the ATO, but in a surprise twist the CSA develop atomic bombs and use them to seize Canada as well as the FSA, renaming themselves the United Socialist American Republics (USAR), creating a rift between the ATO and STO. This gives the Axis more room for relaxing war tensions, as the two treaties won't organize a coordinated attack.
-The Cold War begins. Germany attains atomic bombs at around the same time the CSA did, but decide to keep them a surprise weapon in the event of war. Having lost all of its empire, Great Britain turns to fascism. Italy develops its technology and also attains nuclear weapons.
-The USSR strengthens its ties with the USAR, which leads the latter to give them nuclear weapon intelligence. Now they have nuclear weapons as well.
-Germany surprisingly refuses to give Japan atomic weapon technology, which eventually leads to Japan thinking that Germany is plotting against them and splitting from the Axis. Japan seizes Thailand, India, neutral Australia, and all of the Middle East and proclaims broken ties with Germany
-Now the world is split amongst Fascist Japan, the Axis, the STO and the ATO. This would be the 1965 Conquest
-Great Britain, extremely bitter over their loss of all their empire, gets hydrogen bombs on their own and launch a surprise invasion of France, which prompts Germany, Great Britain, and Italy to go to war. France falls extremely quickly, with GB taking over all of Northern France, Belgium, and advancing up to Cologne, as well as Italy taking Southern France, Austria, Czechoslovakia, and convincing the Balkans to join their side, causing a revolt in Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Bulgaria. In a matter of a year, Germany was reduced to a third of its size, when it decides to launch its surprise nuclear strike. This is where the 1970 Conquest would take place
-Germany annihilates the Great Britain mainland. Unfortunately, instead of demoralizing British soldiers, this fills them with rage and they march onto Berlin, overthrowing the Nazis, whose officials start fleeing to Poland.
-In Poland, civil war breaks out, between Nazis and Socialists. The USSR supports socialists, and by the time SS officials have reached Poland, the Socialists have won, and they capture the Nazi officials. Poland then recovers all of its former territories and some extra German territories, splitting it between British and Pole Germany.
-Great Britain wants the SS officials, so they reach the conclusion to hang them in the border of both countries and with help of both armies. This upsets the USSR, which lashes back at Poland, but surprisingly meets a good counterattack from both Polish and Finnish forces. The USSR is now reduced to only its former Russian territory, as Ukraine and Byelorussia are liberated from its grip. Poland decides to join the ATO, in spite of being communist. Japan finally seizes the last bits of the USSR, marking the sudden end of two incredibly great nations, and giving Japan the all-dreaded nuclear weapons.
-The USAR, seeing how its allies have all but fallen, decides to isolate itself and the whole continent, by allying with the Latin American communist nations, forming the AMU, or American Military Union
-The Japanese, having ended the Soviet Union and seizing the whole Middle East and Asia, are now expanding too large. The ATO sees this as an opportunity to counter-attack. The USAR tries to stay out of it, but its people and allies are clamoring for Japanese lands, and so they declare war on Japan as well. However, in a surprising move, they decide to invade Europe as well, using still-standing Spain as a base for their attacks. This is where the 1977 Conquest takes place.
-With the proliferation of nuclear weapons, both the AMU and the ATO overrun Japan easily, with it being reduced to half its size within six months. With most of its military deep within Asia, the AMU uses its stationed troops and launches the secret assault on the ATO.
-All out nuclear war is now on. Most nations end up devastated. The only standing nations are Spain (holding all of its land but with it devastated in all parts but Madrid), the USAR (Canada and the East Coast mostly destroyed), Japan (now reduced to only their original island and the Philippines), Finland, and the German territories, which unite once again; and Egypt, who has managed to stay out of every single conflict. Every other place is almost completely a wasteland.
-Egypt is about to launch an attack on all of the weakened nations, when all of a sudden the aliens invade Africa in 1980! And from there is the final Conquest, where Egypt loses all of Western and Southern Africa but holds on to the rest of Africa and with Spanish support towards the end retakes Africa, executing the alien overlords after chasing them out of Africa and cornering them in Antartica.
