Playing Brandenburg-Prussia game. I control north Germany and will soon be unstoppable. Going to invade poland soon and begin to drive east, while slowly moving south into germany. Year is 1604, and I plan to form Germany once all required provinces are mine, by then france will be in a hopeless position.

Minnesotaball, did you finish your previous saves? Just curious how far along you tend to play them.

Minnesotaball , did you finish your previous saves? Just curious how far along you tend to play them. Well the malaya one I have, but quit due to no more fun, no challenge left. The manchu one I wanted to test if I could beat ming, and it was close but I lost. I usually go until I get bored with it, however Prussia is very fun to play. I also quit when all objectives of mine are done.

Still have the prussia save, but wanted to try a italy game, formed italy before 1550, Spain was weak so it was conquered by me, now I hold good amount of North Africa, conquering west africa for blobbing purposes. Fought a hilarious war with Turks, they never upgraded any forts, so they were awful, I had 165k troops, Austria had 45k, Hungary had 40k, and Russia had 50k. Ottoman bless bankrupt whole darn game and have 150k mercs and 50k regulars. When war started they skirted of into present day Kazakhstan and siberia, with massive doomstacks taking a ton of attrition. By wars end we killed 20k enemies in battles, but they lost 100k to attrition.... got greece from the war. Plan to conquer Constantinople next, in 1722 when treaty is over. Might just conquer as much of Africa and Anatolia and Balkans as I can before game ends. Also used the blockade Constantinople area to prevent crossing, however once I saw that they were chilling in Siberia I invaded Anatolia.

If you like recent history and studying military history I'd recommend HoI4 but EU4 has a broader range of things to do and how you want to expand in a more cultural way from colonization to good old conquest. Interestingly both also have mods that are arguably more in depth than the game itself with Meiou and Taxes and Kaiserreich.

I just realized byzantine empire will be much harder now. Before ottoman could go retake cores in Anatolia, but those have been removed, so byzantine is a huge target now. (Even though ottomans were nerfed in COC). Might have to just release them as a vassal now, as there won't be enough time for alliances now. I also noticed it takes a really long time for ottoman to expand now. By 1570 they were not even in Cairo, Mamluks must be a strong contender for the region now. And I was playing In India I saw ALBANIA in 1542... allied with PLC,Spain and Hungary.... so they are not going anywhere.

Finished my BrandenBurg-Prussia-Germany game. Basically took over entire german region and Poland. What are some good Eu4 games that are slightly challenging but not impossible to play now? Might continue my colonial scotland game. Colonizing canada and Eastern America, and planning to attack england. I believe scotland is more fun than england. Why? because it is a challenge to get started, as england is much stronger and france wont be able to help you if england attacks. I even won a war against the Kalmar union of scandinavia and took iceland faroe islands and orkney. Iceland is vital to jump to new world ASAP. Going to keep playing as scotland and may try to form britain as it, will update when I get done.

I might of found a revolutionary Granada Re-Reconquista strategy. Only ally Morocco off the bat, castile will believe they have enough strength without portugal, and will declare war on you. If you hire a general with cossacks dlc from nobility you can usually get a decent general, then castile will usually split army into two groups, attack one and it is not uncommon to stackwipe one army. I won a war against castile defensively, just make sure to take as much land as possible, to weaken them. Also make sure Aragon rivals them, as then they will be likely to declare war against them when you are wiping the floor with them, or they will try to subjugate navarra. Will test the strategy some more, if this is how easy it is it wont be hard.

Honestly the performance has been better than I had in 1.30 tbh they made so much prgress and I've enjoyed the little things they've had in my Milan HRE Emperor run they even have a new clergy estate that I think may only be for christian Latins that give bonuses for my christian provinces of Latin or accepted culture while giving maluses to provinces not of Latin/accepted culture or not christian and I think it is neat
