oh that one...
the only movement you got to make is with your rocket artillery, put Lin b on him and head with him between the oil-field and the village in the north, put also 2 generals on these 2 troops on the oil-field and the troops in the village. use yamamoto for the village in the south.
if you keep defending this one you will eventually win.. because you got enough money/steel/oil per turn in the beginning. so put 4 generals on those 4 troops and you should win

The key in this challenge is to move your vehicles as little as possible because the crucial resource is oil. If I remember it correctly (yes, it was long ago), I moved my tank and armored car a bit forward and let them engage the British and did not move submarine at all. This is to keep my infantries at high health, and, from then on, I only relied on on them to capture the oil derrick near Cairo. I remember using Goering to sit on that oil derrick eating cannonballs because he was the tankiest. Also be careful, not to let the British capture your oil derrick you have at the beginning.

i got it but I used my sub to take out the aircraft carrier to get the oil and lessen the bombing

I can not even get through AS 3 since either I take the city Riad (on the peninsula) and come around 430 gold or I take Cairo and the Egyptian villages and come up around 460. I can not take both and I only have Hanging Gardens (+10 gold).

Which oil wonders did you had when you completed this? Probably at least half of them. Most players tend to have at least a dozen wonders built by the time they get to midway through the challenges. They're not meant to be easily done without good generals, technology, or wonders, etc...plenty of progress is needed for the challenges to become doable. You know what I mean? |

Yeah true,
Got the commanders, but miss the wonders to complete the last challenges. Spend all industry in medal wonders etc. Just keep waiting and farm overnight and it will be fine
