Oye chico, we killed the Germans!
Que?
Since I saw no guide for 1943 Cuba, I decided to do it. Of course, I beat it before doing anything. So here's the guide:
PART 1: REVENGE OF THE COLONIES
Your first order of business is to gather cities. You start with one troop on your island: Send it to Colombia. Build a couple of Land Forts around Bogota and destroy it, in order to increase your resource input. You really need to pillage neutral countries, believe me. As well as that, make Armored Cars from Havana and when you have around 4-7 send them to the Iberian Peninsula, and use them to take the smaller Portuguese city. Once you do, make Motorized Infantries to take A Coruña, Madrid, Barcelona, and Sevilla, and after all of these take Lisboa as well. Once you have the combined resources of Portugal and Spain, three things will happen: 1) You will have enough resources to face the Germans and Italians, 2) The other American countries will have landed their assaults on Europe already, and 3) the second part of this conquest begins
PART 2: OPERATION NO-PANZERS
Next, with dominion of the Iberian Peninsula achieved, you need to start facing the rest of the Axis. The campaign starts to split between two fronts now: Africa and Europe. Your objective is to blitz to Berlin and erase the Axis from the face of Africa. In order to take Berlin you will have to take every city in the way before that. It will be a struggle to get, in this order, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Cologne, and finally Berlin. Start by making Field Artilleries and sending them up North. A good 4-5 Field Artilleries will wreck any city within 3 turns. Once you take Paris, start making Rocket Artilleries as well. In the end, you will end up with a great battalion of Field and Rocket Artilleries, and the city of Berlin will eventually fall. In Africa, take Casablanca with MIs from Sevilla, which should also be used to take the rest of Africa. Use the MIs to take Dakar next, preventing the Germans from seizing Fortaleza, in Brazil. Finally, use any further MIs and the ones left to take the rest Italian and German colonies. The allies will likely hold up for a while, but will need you to take all cities after a while lest they fall apart, specially the French. Rommel and Monty will face off, and if Rommel manages to beat Monty, which likely won't happen, you'll have to kill him as well. Take the Axis' African cities and reclaim any cities they might have seized. While this is all happening, prepare for the war on Japan and start moving Motorized Infantries and Armored Cars from Bogota to Mainland Japan. Once you have secured Africa and Berlin, the next part begins.
PART 3: THE FALL OF THE THIRD REICH
Cuba shouldn't have been this involved. It's just a small island nation, which shouldn't have seized half of Europe and a whole country in South America (I mean, given the size of 'Colombia' in WC3 I would guess it's Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador, making it up to three countries, but anyways). BUT TOO BAD! The lingering conqueror spirit of the Spanish took over and you did. Ha. Now finish what you started and topple the rest of the Reich. From Marseilles, send Armored Cars to the Northern Italian city, and from there MIs to take Rome. From Tripoli, send paratroopers to take Naples. But of course, the best part of all, from Berlin you can now use the Super Tanks to defeat Germany. Of yeah, the Soviets will either have been reduced to just Yekaterinburg and/or Moscow OR have crushed the Axis up to Warsaw and Czechoslovakia. Which ever one, clear up whatever's left of the Germans. Send a Super Tank and two Field Artilleries to the Scandinavian theater, and crush it quickly. If it somehow hasn't fallen yet, destroy Finland, albeit taking Sweden at this point is optional. The rest of your Super Tanks are going on a crash course through Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, and all the way to Asia. If the Soviets have killed the Balkans already, then just head straight East, using your Super Tanks to wreck the German cities along the way. Remember those troops I told you to send? You better have. You should have a train of troops coming from Bogota to Japan by now. In Japan, your first objective is the port outside Tokyo. From there, build Destroyers and use them to destroy Tokyo, landing there and from there taking the whole Japanese island. More on that later...
PART 4: OPERATION KILL BILL
You have overrun the Axis... In Europe. Japan may or may not have killed all of Asia. In my case it did, expanding all the way to Moscow and India. Use your Japanese Island stronghold to wreak havoc in Japan. In my case Japan expanded to all of Asia, but there's a chance that China and Great Britain might hold Japan off and maybe even wipe it out of Mainland Asia. Either way, use the Super Tanks from Berlin and Motorized Infantry from your nearest city. By the time they reached Japanese territory, the combined assault wrecked Japan and let me take over their cities very smoothly from both fronts. Focus first on killing generals, and when you're almost done with them, focus only on cities. If you haven't already, remember to use air strikes. Tokyo is good for this, as well as Changchun on the Western theater. Just push through the Japanese and wipe them out. If they invaded North America, then retake it as well, this time with MIs and ACs sent from Bogota to North America through Mexico. Yay, you're done, have gotten revenge on your old colonists and have also seized anywhere around half of Europe and Africa.
TL;DR: Take Colombia with your one starting troop and using Land Forts, build up ACs and take Northern Portugal and from there Spain and Portugal with Motorized Infantries. Land MIs in Africa and wipe the Axis out of there and use Tripoli to paratroop into Naples, while at the same time you march to Berlin through Paris and start sending troops from Bogota to Tokyo. Use Super Tanks from Berlin to destroy the rest of the European Axis and use MIs from Marseilles and Naples to take Rome, and then send troops from Europe to Japan-controlled Asia.
Now, some pictures that will serve as a guide in case Japan isn't stopped by the Allies...
Japanese counteroffensive launched due to the Cuban Invasion of Asia (colorized, c. 1943)
In this image, we see the counteroffensive launched by the Almighty Empire of the Sun upon invading their mainland. Ulan Bator was emptied, so you MIGHT think I was able to seize it and use it as a base... Right? SO WRONG. The Japanese counterstrike came very close to taking Manstein out. I had to flee a little down South, were tpthe Japanese made a big mistake that would signal the beginning of their end...
ALL PRAISE TRUE KOREA
Pyongyang became my base instead. With a level one airfield, I could only attack, but not invade cities. So I did that and wiped out the entire Japanese counter. I honestly have to say it died due to both bombings from Pyongyang using Ozawa on an Armored car (yes, I was THAT desperate) and fort warfare...
Maginot Line? That's cute
What the Japanese didn't know is that I arrived in North China AND the Middle East. While they were too busy paratrooping in North China and North India, Manstein's distraction served to both sneak Badoglio into South China and to set up this defensive monstrosity thay could only be known as the Great Wall of Cuban Iran. This killed the whole paratrooping brigade of India, which later allowed Motorized Infantries and Armored Cars to come in and sweep New Delhi. The Japanese were too busy protecting North China and filling it with Armored Cars, paratroopers and Batallion Artilleries to see what would be the climax of their empire...
I built three of these in Northern Asia, about 70% of the forts and bunkers fell to the Japs. It was a bloody war alright
No more pictures of the fall of Asia, srry. Basically, the train od MIs coming from Minsk reached Central China and I used it to conquer Nanking, Shanghai, Chong Ching (doubt I spelled that right), and Hong Kong, with air strikes later taking Taipei, Manila, Peking, Ulan Bator, Chang Chun and the Soviets clearing up the lower level Western Asia cities. Manstein survived, albeit he just stayed in Chang Chun the rest of the game. India and Indochina were cleared up with MIs from ND and Armored Cars from Hong Kong, respectively. Ozawa on an AC helped take Indonesia after defending North China. Japan was taken with a combimatiom of Para-Assault Infantry, Battleships from the port at Korea, Carriers from the port at Tokyo, and bombings once I reached Yokohama. However...
As I had mentioned, Japan had managed to expand to Moscow and came close to taking it (God bless they didn't O.o). Unfortunately, this meant they also took Australia. I paratrooped from Manila to Port Moresby, PM to Darwin, and used Battleships from Manila to take Brisbane out, as well as subs from PM to take out the new guardian of Brisbane, Ozawa on a Carrier.
You're telling me that EVEN IF I CHOOSE AN ALLIED COUNTRY I'LL STILL HAVE TO TAKE BRISBANE!!!!!
Yup, 129 turns. Japan loves its paraspam. But don't worry kids. Building Land Forts on the dozen and fighting a war of attrition will (insert BIG eventually here) make them stop.
Oh yeah. One last thing. Pillage every neutral country. The extra resources will help A LOT with funding airstrikes and Fort Warfare.
