It's incredible that 2 such huge storms are back to back together like this.
Not counting the loss of life it's estimated that Harvey hurricane damage will amount to about $120 billion and will take years to recover from.

Jose is a tropical storm that's rapidly evolving into a hurricane. Irma is a record setting megastorm, the biggest to ever touch the Atlantic. It's also hitting countries that are already in danger of flooding naturally, the floods will be disastrous. |

Actually it is near impossible for such event, but here we are it is happening. The biggest variable is the earths orbit changes, if the vertical axis moves over 5° from it's normal state, we can see a lot of anomalies like heat and cold in regions where it shouldn't be and that has more affect than global warming which is not always the problem. |
