With the way climate change is going, well... no need for a genius to tell us that we need to save the environment or else... The biggest variable is the earths orbit changes, if the vertical axis moves over 5° from it's normal state, we can see a lot of anomalies like heat and cold in regions where it shouldn't be and that has more affect than global warming which is not always the problem. On the topic of global warming/ climate change: There are two arguments over the cause of global warming; natural or "man-made" It can be natural since the earth's climate is always changing and we all know that. Ice Age is an example of natural climate change. It can be caused by humans since there has been an increase of emission of greenhouse gases and we all know that. You seeing this post proves it; people didn't have the internet long ago, and it only recently became widespread. If you do your research, you would notice that both are quite even, on proof, reasoning and number of scientists. But the media makes it look one-sided. One thing for sure, pollution is real and human activity do harm the enviroment.

Pollution is real, but it also only is harming the ozone layer, which is sustaining life on earth as we know it, the planet will stay long after us

I hope Irma doesn't go up through Florida. I don't want to say I'd be in big trouble, but I'd be in big trouble. I heard it is going right there, is that true?

Even if it veers to the east coast, the hurricane is so massive (400 miles!) that central Florida would still be hit. Miami is going to be devastated for sure, and lots of the Caribbean was just hit by a category 5 hurricane, the largest to ever grace the Atlantic Ocean in recent memory.

I heard Georgia and north Carolina declared emergency ahead of Irma, it won't just hit Florida, it will hit hard.

And Jose is following Irma so some massive damage is possible. Records will be broken if Irma stays category 4 storm.

Mega storms are the real bad ones, but I've noticed that in USA you build houses that can't withstand small winds, here when we build a house, the large storms doesn't do any damage if the trees doesn't fall on the roofs.
