Arya Stark, Desophaeus, let's see if I got this right. Armistice day is in 11.11, when WW1 ended. However, you don't celebrate WW2 ending. And armitice day you get school off on some states, while you don't in others. It is also called Veteran's day. Intresting, because we don't celebrate Korean war armistice being signed. Maybe it's because of how the Korean War went down? (Just a thought) Also, my country celebrates the day we got conquered by the Japs during WW2 by calling it "National Civil Defence Day". The reason is that by remembering "our greatest humiliation & the period of darkness that followed our nation's fall" can we unite to face challenges together as a nation.... or so that's what the Government hopes to achieve. Note: None of this content & anything about this day is meant to be biased, racist, etc.

We celebrate independence day(8.15) though, and some days we struggled for independence. I think your nation has a point. Hurting history should never be repeated. Note-No racism, no Japan-hating(Japan is no longer an empire), no "I love wars", etc. Just a quote. Nothing more.

In America: We do celebrate Armistice Day as one of the major Federal holidays where schhols, banks, universities, agencies close down. Some of the other holidays yiu would think that we would close down but we don't, and yet for this one, we do. It's quite important for more than just WW1, we also celebrate the concept of ending wars in general on that day in honor of such events. In contrast, we don't even have an official holiday for WW2's ending, and it has 3 different possible dates we could celebrate but we don't celebrate those days at all. Schools aren't closed on Armistice day, at least here in Michigan. We get election day off, but not Armistice day. I also think the common name for Armistice day is Veteran's Day, at least in the U.S. Veterans' Day is the more modern name of the holiday, and... it tends to occur in the very same week as election day or almost right next to each other just one row down or up and a couple of columns left or right. So in effect, you DO celebrate it in your schools, Arya Stark. Regardless of whatever your schools choose to do, your banks in Michigan are still going to be closed for the Federal holiday. (Make a note of that, Leonid Govorov) Yeah, I'm using the original name of that holiday in this context, so thus Armistice Day.

Desophaeus, cool, so the official "term" is "armitice day" though many call "veteran day". Just snapped into my mind that I came to this forum for general recommendations and here I am, playing roleplays and learning American holiday lol

Just snapped into my mind that I came to this forum for general recommendations and here I am, playing roleplays and learning American holiday lol That's the truth for everyone, isn't it? To be honest, I haven't actually played one single ET game since last spring (must be like 5-6 months or so), and only sparsely before that. Sure, I still post and talk about those games, but I'm really here for the community and RPs.

For me, I am here to chat with some friends I made online, and to RP nowadays as well. Ofc, WC4 stuff is good as well. For other games, I only give advices.

Cost too much (aka real money, forget it) so I'm waiting until it's actually free on GooglePlay.
