You can build missilo silos to launch missilos once your tech level reaches level 7 so I don't think Brisbane will be as annoying.

Ugh,I really hate Brisbane.I have to cross the Pacific because the Japanese was unreliable.Good thing I conquered America. AGREED. And the most flipping thing is that it isnt in bombers range, actually have to get a tank or somethin' to kill blamey the stupid bastard. I almost didnt get the Alhambra wonder because of Blamey. He even sustained my Ion Attack.Luckily, the Ion reduce his health for my Commando to attack

Yeah, he ussually moves from there. It is actually a good thing that the city is on the coast because it can be easily taken down by bombarding with Cruisers. By the way, ports are more annoying to take , especially the one in Mexico in 1939 and those in north Canada.

I think that in WC4, Brisbane is somewhat easier to take if you just spam missiles and/or nukes. I still would agree though, that Brisbane is more annoying than many others. I am also going to nominate another city: Budapest. Why Budapest? Imagine you are a more experienced nooblet who is doing quite fine on a conquest as some Allied country 1939 or 1943. Now, you have finally reached Europe and beat down a bunch of Germans. And then the Italian-Bulgarian-Romanian army comes...Now imagine you are in the fight for your life, trying to survive the heavy tank-inf-arty spam. The entire line just boils down into losing and recapturing cities. The front just so happens to be Bucharest-Budapest-Munich. Budapest has the most fighting.

Also the American islands are hard to take in 1939 but less so in later era because with upgrades it allows you to paradrop on them.

The american islands are the most annoying for me, especially Hawaii, where Arnold keeps air raiding the troops that went there trying to capture it. Also, that northernmost canadian town in the east in extremely difficult if you don’t attack Canada from the east coast/Kuujjuaq.

When I play as a faction that is also anti-USA, I MUST either have control of Tokyo or sail all the way to the islands. When invading North America from the East or Northeast, that city is the hardest to strike since there's usually a coastal arty at Newfoundland & that we have to attack by sea.

Hawaii for me. Brisbane is not as difficult when there are several cities close by to paradrop (also paradrop range increases!). You can only reach Honolulu by Air from Midway, and you can only reach Midway by air from Japan!
