It's been a long time since a group was recognized in fact we only had one such group since the forum was created (the pioneer group) and the time has come for a new group to join us. Temporarily named the illuminati, this group of posters has been selected for their outstanding contributions to research of game mechanics,tirelessly crunching numbers,doing in game testing,showing and posting pics of what they have found,caping and organizing forum materials ect.. The initial group is....<drum roll>.... 1/ kanue2/ Monty :D3/ Eastern empire4/ NetherFreekThis group can elect a leader, and can invite other members to their group.However the standard is very high,and acceptance must be unanimous by the group members, the staff and moderators may suggest or include additional members if they meet the criteria. The group can elect to change their group name,the leader needs to pm staff when it is decided. For now if other posters feel they should have been included they can pm and I will review their post history but one week from now 17th Oct,all requests must be addressed to the group leader. Group additional perks include immediate max stars settings, custom color in mini-profile and info center,there might be additional benefits added in the future. Wanna know what it takes to have a shot at earning a spot in this group? Take a look at this thread Here ,this was written at the time everyone was saying aliens were "impossible" and "broken". Be advised that multiple infractions or warnings against an account will result in the offending member getting kicked off the group. This post will have announcement status for a minimum of one week. |

I am clearly not going to be in this proposed group, but here's an idea for the group:Master strategists (because you guys post all the guides). Also, here's a group that I'm going to propose for the future:Forum Teachers! For the people who attempt to educate the forumites. |

Ohh I almost forgot we need a group for beer lovers I can prove myself worthy I swear! Suvorov knows of this too,in his infinite wisdom he declared that there was much more to life than gaming. Perhaps the people with proof of winning the alien conquest can get a special badge. Like Kanue can be awarded a badge and it's description can say "This member saved humanity!"

Yes,the criteria for this group is that the members have consistently brought in depth game mechanics knowledge to the community. That has to be above and beyond what everyone else is doing. For example Monty spend a lot of time making charts on all of the wc3 generals and more,looked up the game file in a hex editor to get all the raw numbers,did some mods and took requests for mods ect.. EasternEmpire brought a lot of explainations on how some of WC3 worked at the time the game was still new and very confusing to everyone. Kanue helped explain and discover major portions of EW4 he also contributed a lot to WC3 including the first proven method to do the 1975 conquests. Netherfreek along with an endless supply of conquest/campaign guides did an amazing job at researching,gathering and formating all these guides that the forum has into master lists so everyone has an easier time finding them. So yes guides count but the group members also have that "wow" factor too |
