Hi all.
I've started 2nd time EW 5 after great break and so far I have some mists to remove.
Please instruct how medals should be spent for the gens? I've bought Li Shimin, what gave me super power in multienemies. Rest are : Alex lvl 2 Montezuma lvl 2 Joan D'arc lvl 2 Hanibal lvl 2 Huo Qbing lvl 2 Robin, the Hooded Man lvl 2 Cleopatra lvl 2 and many others Saladin and 2nd horse gen are close to be bought ...
I moved some medals for his logistic skill and I'm afraid of changing himfrom Fire Dragon into Catapult. (I've started medieval and I know that we should buy all for coins to farm medals at once in cities)
to the point, my question is :
Do you upgrade old gens during eras, after ? What abilities are worth to be upgraded and whose? How you balanced your gens in medieval era?

Answer to balancing gens in post-Medival:
I'd make use of Mocty & Jeanne/Joan's healing.
Upgrade gens like Alexander, Saladin, Mocty(not really recommended but if you want to) while deciding on your FINAL gen line-up.
Leave starting gens like Hannibal, Robin, Cleopatra (if you're desparate, MAX upgrade is to Empire), Huo QuBing.
If possible, buy purple-grade healing equipment from Cologne, useful to have coninuous heal.

Finally, I've started again, and saved some for Nobunaga. I'll wait some more for the free gens. This was good to start again.

Despite it was a long game to win, I deleted the game with regrets after completing it. It was quite a challange, I should say! Maybe one day I'll try to beat it with cavalry team led by ferocious Attila  |

I still have it installed since maybe new members want specific questions i cannot remember (like with gog2). Once a day-days collecting medals.. so slowly also conpleting special item sets
